We're all on different timelines. New cases are going down in China. Washington state is going to be ahead of Oklahoma. It's going to get worse in the US before it gets better. The reticence to test is the problem. They don't want positives that will lead to further stock market panic. It comes down to that.

I found them. They have it bad. Italy, Spain, and France. They locked down Northern Italy. I think, like Iran, they got it early. I don't know how they dealt with it. I know I've read some stuff about Italy and it sounds REAL bad.

You do know that the travel restrictions attacked saved American lives, right? Trump put them out in February and the dems attacked him for it Even the experts have praised Trump for this action and said he was correct but the MSM is dead silent about that part. The whole part about Trump being incompetent during this outbreak is disinformation that you shouldn't be buying into.

It's no doubt going to get worse. However, do you want to bet that we''ll be better off than the Euopeans when all is said and done? Europe's open borders are going to cause a massive epidemic much worse than it is now.

Of course we will be better off. We have a huge country and are spread out with an ocean on each side. Much like WWII. If you're going to claim that victory it's like claiming "highest GDP ever!" - hollow victories.
 
Obama's poor response due to lack of travel restrictions during the swine flu helped fuel nearly 14,000 deaths in America. Not all of it is his fault of course but poor leadership hurt us. But we had 14,000 deaths during his time and we've had 26 under Trump but who's the incompetent boob according to the press?

At first Trump's incompetence was going to get us now you change it to the oceans are going to save us. The oceans didn't help us that much with the 2009 swine flu. Bubba, trying to have any kind of meaningful discussion with you is hopeless. You're uninformed on nearly every topic and you believe your emotions are reality. Dude, just because we will probably have a death rate lower than Europe is not a "W". That's like Texas claiming victory over North Texas. I think we will have more sick people and deaths than we might have had because Trump and his people have been minimizing it and not testing to try to keep fears down and save the market. Saudi/Russia took advantage.

You may not be trying to be a dick but you're being pig headed. Anyone who thinks that Trump and his people are being forthright is simply wrong. They may not be trying to lie to us but, at a minimum, they're being deceptive and evasive on basic stuff.

I don't get it. My girlfriend had a cough, went in, got tested and no virus. No problem. Nobody stopped her. This suppression stuff is far more myth and propaganda than real.

Your right, its not just this outbreak. What I am wondering here is the meaning of incompetent. Trump regularly talks about things as he is a expert without really saying anything of substance, only things like "ive heard a lot of people say blah", just saying whatever comes to mind with a heavy dose of self praise. For a person who hates "fake news" so much he sure seems to create a ton of it. Travel restrictions may have slowed thing down a bit but if thats the extent of your plan you doomed to fail just like a wall on the border. On second thought maybe its not his incompetence but his followers that buy into his daily lies. Thoughts and prayers, except for a few of you older guys here I hope it gets you and takes you out.

Actually it isn't. We are going into the warmer months of the year, it's very very likely that the corona will go dormant until the fall and winter months. I think it will give us time to really prepare.

Everyone already knows who and where they are being hired, if you want it to stop go after the employers. No jobs means they wont want to come. Problem is the employers are making too much money so you cant kill that golden goose. No one wants to hear any other solutions though, go to the wall discussion and see people just calling other people names like Garmel did above. The problem is you dont really want a solution, you just want to ***** about something. My problem is i'm here to laugh at you and your sillness like "thoughts and prayers".

Yet there are about 10-15 posters here that will take any random nobodies political quote and attribute the same philosophy to every person on the other side only to try and strengthen a false position. Those are the same 10-15 posters that make up 80% of whats on this board. They take everyone but Trumps rhetoric seriously when it should be the opposite. Trump has already lost a lot of credibility but with this new threat I am kinda happy his base still thinks he is credible. Lets hope he continues to have rallies and the loons come out and believe there is no threat. I will get my popcorn out.

Who the F are you to say how much money someone should make? This is the crap that pisses me off about democrats and liberals in general. If you aren't making the money then you want to say who should make it and how much. This is total BS. If I do something to make a million dollars then don't hate, don't be mad, just worry about making your own money. I'm sick of people thinking they have a right to the fortune others make with their talents.

Socialism doesn't raise anyone to a higher level, it lowers everyone to the base level. My Ex-wife was born in the USSR and she had all kinds of stories about how Russia become a whole country of slaves to the Socialist Republic.
 
By end of March, testing capability is going to outstrip those that need tests because of warmer weather and improved testing. If anything, warmer weather will reduce non-coronavirus illnesses such as the flu, bronchitis, and whatnot. Korea, which has done more testing than anyone has a death rate of approx 0.5%. In reality, it is less than that since not everyone sick has been tested. People are pointing at people panicking for justification for panicking. Meanwhile store shelves are empty and the market is falling like there is a recession. Spot the fallacy?

Don't forget his loons are the ones with the guns and with all the preps for this kind of stuff. We might not take it serious, but we are prepared for what comes next. Democrats are the ones that think the government is going to save them. I'll get my popcorn and watch how that works out for you.
