Sabre- That range is accurate even for a football-crazy school like Westlake? If so, that is shocking to me. Especially considering the hours and the amount of money spent on facilities in some big high schools now.

There are rules limiting the coaches salary. I believe their salary cannot exceed that of the HS principal, although the principal of Memorial in Houston pulls down $172, and I think Gary only makes $125.

FWIW, the crap schools in HISD pay in the 90s.

We have places that spend $50mm or so on a new stadium but only pay its coaches $150K? That seems crazy to me.
