My guess is no.
My guess is because Taffee was fairly upright and the receiver somewhat turned into the hit. At least they were consistent. Bond was hit directly in the head as a defenseless receiver on the interception and ruled no targeting and that hit was worse than Taffee’s hit.Why wasn't Texas not called for targeting there?
Was it because it was a facemask to facemask hit?
He took some shots to the head. I was wondering if they evaluated him for concussion.Still worried a bit about Skattebo barfing on the sidelines ... I know he's a fit athlete overflowing with testosterone, but I hope he doesn't' have CTE in his 40s.
He is telling the people complaining about the refs favoring Texas to STFU b/c Skattebo's TD was illegal and shud have been called back.I don't understand what he is saying? ASU was the one that tackled Skat into the end zone by one of their lineman for the touchdown.
NoThe question is have we learned to be patient and watch the entire game before we go scorched earth?
About the Cotton Bowl next Friday,
call me crazy, but OSU annihilating Oregon is probably the best thing that could happen for Texas.
We will go into that game, after being taken to the limit by Arizona State — a team we were expected to handle easily, knowing that we’re probably not good enough, and that we are going to have to play a ridiculous game.
I could’ve lived without the stress, but there’s no way this team doesn’t go into Dallas knowing that they have a massive mountain to climb, and that they could get blown out.
I agree. OSU will be riding a media hype machine as they are completely pantsing Oregon as we speak. We, on the other hand squeaked out a nail biter we were supposed to win by 13+, so there’s enough ammo there to get back to work, embrace the underdog status, and let this game be a close shave warning signal for players and coaches - we gotta clean some key things up and play a complete game- all 4 quarters - to have a shot in the next two games.About the Cotton Bowl next Friday,

These are my thoughts as well.I'm old and have watched the Horns since DKR was the coach. Seen a lot of play callers and am becoming less enamored with that part of Sark each game. Don't get me wrong, he is great recruiter and offensive play designer, but he gets off the easy path too much. Twice in the second half it looked like we were going to start to run it down there throats. We had a seven yard and an eight yard run on first down to start a series. In each case they were followed up by long passes- not QE's long suit. We could have taken control, but Sark and Ewers together seemed intent on throwing more than we needed too and never decided to just crush them. Granted our OL was not spectacular or even very good today, but we needed to pound it more. Quinn had great moments today and those are paired with ridiculous throws into double coverage that are intercepted or should have been. Once again Bond seemed out of it. He was QE's main man and now they are not even close to being on the same page. Thank god for Golden.
Next week looks pretty scary unless Sark can get out of his own way.
It's not all on you. As a teacher I have no idea what day it is, and spend most of my time in PJs. Didn't put on my jersey until OT.I want to apologize to everyone on hornfans. This game was entirely my fault. I watched the game on a different tv from the one I have watched the games on all year, until the overtime. Texas definitely plays better on my main tv. Not that I’m superstitious or anything.
TOSU looks more like a fistfight, and they look tough, but at least we have been in a lot of very physical games this year; not sure whether they have; didn’t watch their seasonMe thinks we matched up better vs. ducks instead of the bucks.
