CFP Peach Bowl Game Thread - Horns vs ASU

^^^ this. 6 minutes to go. Just needed to run click and get 3 points and game is over. I think we used less than 1 minute and threw a pick after a 6-yard 1st down run. Play calling was a head scratcher on that series.

Good news: we found a way to win and we’re now one of 4 still standing after this weekend. I’m sure Sark and the coaches have plenty of notes and film to dissect, as we have to raise the level of play to compete with any of the remaining 3 teams b
Still worried a bit about Skattebo barfing on the sidelines ... I know he's a fit athlete overflowing with testosterone, but I hope he doesn't' have CTE in his 40s. :hookem2:

VY-A team can be outcoached and outplayed and still win a game. Good example today.Got beat in first downs, basiscly killed in rushing game and still won. Isnt it great we are both great at analyzing the game?

Only thing that matters is winning. But, geez, that was almost the biggest choke I think I'd ever seen from Texas. And I've seen more than I care to remember. Reminded me big time of the 2009 Big 12 championship game vs Nebraska. Which reminds me, does Hunter Lawrence have any eligibility remaining? Auburn has been our weakest link all year. He almost cost us everything today. Sadly, I wasn't even surprised he missed the final kick. He's just plain bad.

I need for someone to speak with Sark and ask him to consider setting QE up farther back behind the pocket. He might see the field better and have a better chance of avoiding sacks. Tell him to just try it!
The Quarterback Whisperer
I was actually thinking the same thing, but I’m no QB whisperer.

Sandwich game. The first few minutes in the last few minutes.

Yup.

ou, aggy, tceh, bama all lost their bowl games.
If Sark gets any bonus for this he should give it to the defense.

You let your emotions form your opinion. Ewers. 20/30 322 yards avg 10.8 per throw 3 TDs (and a 2pt TD) 1 int—— other guy. 24/46 222 yards avg 4.8 yards per throw ; 0 TDS 1 int.

(And a rushing TD)
The one interception should never have happened because at that time with second and 4 he should never have been put in that position. Ewers had already floated two similar passes one should have been picked off and the other was bailed out by pass interference

But that would mean we would play bad in the National Championship game. How about we don't beat ourselves next game and then have our coming out party in the NC game.
It’s different this year with the playoffs, but consider Penix and UW last year against Texas and then Michigan. Night and day difference in performance.
