CFP Peach Bowl Game Thread - Horns vs ASU

4th and 13 trailing in OT--that's about as nail biting as it can get. I'm way too old for this.

You let your emotions form your opinion. Ewers. 20/30 322 yards avg 10.8 per throw 3 TDs (and a 2pt TD) 1 int—— other guy. 24/46 222 yards avg 4.8 yards per throw ; 0 TDS 1 int.
So - who was the better QB? Me thinks Ewers wins that one.

Suck it, Leavitt.

Well, the Best team won, inspire of themselves.
BTW, Quinn was lights out on overtime. And the pass defense got the interception to seal it it
I’ll take the win, even though it was special teams ugly.
Anyone in HORNFANS who could walk on as our kicker before the next game?
I am 64-year-old disabled veteran with 6 knee surgeries, a broken back, and cancer......I can't do any worse.

Yeah whatever man, far from the truth. All you do is copy and paste thousands of tweets.

I post the truth, along with others. No one cares about your incessant sunshine pumping.

It would seem you only want rose-colored glass views. Some of us call it like we see it, and if the effort is not getting results, it DESERVES to be called out.

We need to come up with some way to run the ball next game.

Maybe actually run the jet sweep, or the pistol, or something a little different. We are not making it any further relying on Quinn throwing the deep ball.

That was one UGLY win. ASU outplayed the Horns. Horns have to play better next week. Congratulations to ASU for a superb effort.
Go back and watch klatt’s preview as it was spot on about college teams not being asked to play well two games in a row. It was spot on. Good news is Texas can now play well next game.

All that being said... targeting. Wow. The head shots were there. Yet no calls. I guess by letter of the rule those players have no head injury but I dispute that.

Leavitt was 24 of 46 for 222 yds, zero TD's and one interception with 88.4 qbr.

Quinn was 20 of 30 for 322 yds, 3 TD's and one interception with qbr of 183.2.

Did Leavitt prove anything today? He said he was better.

Oregon down 14-0 early. Wonder if their game thread follows the natural progression of hand wringing when your team is suckling balls followed by the fan board police.

Referees nonexistent all game..uncatchable?

Im sure it kills some on here that ewers got us in position to kick winning fg in regulation ,threw 2 td passes and a 2 point conversation to win it in overtime. With no running game by the way.
Not to mention sark has us in the semi finals 2 years in a row.

Our D played lights out and kept us in the game long enough for us to make the plays to win. We got beat in every category today except the final score - but the D did just enough to save the game and continue the season.
When Texas needed it, the offense stepped up. No reasonable person would have expected it based on the body of play in the second half. But, they pulled it out. The INT at the end was the icing on the cake.
