Im sure it kills some on here that ewers got us in position to kick winning fg in regulation ,threw 2 td passes and a 2 point conversation to win it in overtime. With no running game by the way.
Not to mention sark has us in the semi finals 2 years in a row.

If Auburn made the last FG, I think the commentary would have been less hyperbolic. Probably focused on the play calling on the INT drive.

^^^ this. 6 minutes to go. Just needed to run click and get 3 points and game is over. I think we used less than 1 minute and threw a pick after a 6-yard 1st down run. Play calling was a head scratcher on that series.

Good news: we found a way to win and we’re now one of 4 still standing after this weekend. I’m sure Sark and the coaches have plenty of notes and film to dissect, as we have to raise the level of play to compete with any of the remaining 3 teams b

Dunno…it was the same aggressive play calling that lead to the fake punt and 4th down TD play.

Our D played lights out and kept us in the game long enough for us to make the plays to win. We got beat in every category today except the final score - but the D did just enough to save the game and continue the season.

I don’t completely disagree, but our offense (Ewers) drove the field two times in the final minutes for what should have been winning FGs and the special team let them down. Then, when we went into OT, with all momentum gone, they scored TDTD, 2point conversion. The defense wasn’t on the field to help them during those 15 points scored in OT.

We are definitely cornered now. Our d has defended too many plays. They don’t respect our running game at all. 2 OTs out of the game. Time for our all American QB to win with his arm.

Go back and watch klatt’s preview as it was spot on about college teams not being asked to play well two games in a row. It was spot on. Good news is Texas can now play well next game.

But that would mean we would play bad in the National Championship game. How about we don't beat ourselves next game and then have our coming out party in the NC game.

This is the worst play calling of the year IMHO. Team is confused, tired, QE is either concussed or having some kind of panic ...

Wrote this and watched ASU go right down the field to tie the game. But then we got it together late and in OT. I am not knowledgeable enough to know if the plays are really inappropriate, according to metrics and standard playbooks ... but as a fan, I don't get those long passes on 2nd down that put us in 3 and longer, and I wondered why there were so few targets to Gunnar ... and then, suddenly, they work. We win! HOOK'EM,

Running/mobile QB kills us. Our only weakness on defense. However, our defense alone can probably win the NC.
