I am not asking you to like FSU. I hate them myself. Always have. But they should be getting in the CFP as undefeated conference champs.

My mistake, sorry about that. When a sponsorship is started it automatically switches off the ads. If it is done through the donation channel, I need to switch that manually, and I overlooked that in your case.

I will do it now — pardon the error and thanks for your support.

Sagarin has Texas as the #5 SOS. They went 1-1 vs top 10 teams and 6-1 vs top 30 teams.

FSU had the #61 SOS. Played no top 10 teams. And was 3-0 vs top 30 teams.

I think that and the loss of their heisman QB is what sealed it. Just too many surging teams at a time they were sputtering on offense (though their defense is still excellent).
 
If UGA won yesterday by three, they'd obviously be in and probably so would undefeated FSU since our best win would be against two-loss Bama. It wasn't FSU last night that kept them out, it was Bama.

Are there any season ticket holders on here who are NOT planning on going to the Sugar Bowl? I see that season ticket holders can log into their account and request tickets, but it must be done by 5pm tomorrow, Dec. 4th.

I would love to buy 3 tickets if anyone would be willing to request for me. Just thought I'd try Hornfans first! Hook 'Em!:hookem:

I checked my email. I have priority for up to 4 tickets. However here is the kicker: prices range from $200-500. You are assigned tickets based on availability according to your priority. I have relatively high priority (for OU I get tickets on the 40 yard line). It’s not clear that means higher price or lower price tickets. It’s possible I may receive $400 tickets. Who knows? However I am 100% certain I will get tickets based on my priority (26 year season ticket holder plus annual Longhorn Foundation donations).

Anyone in same position as Mc I’m interested too. Found a reasonable hotel rate and since I can drive in it’s not so bad an overall cost. Hint to any others interested if you can come in on the 1st and not NYE rates drop substantially. So if anyone has foundation tickets they want to sell at their price let me know. Although a season ticket buyer from a friend for a long time not sure he will get on the allotment or will want to sell if he does. Thanks

Dion, Thank You for keeping this site going and running it to an exceptional standard. To all out there, the no ads and extra bennies are well worth it and I encourage all to sponsor or donate.
 
I've said this many times, I was born in Tallahassee, Florida and my Dad got all three major degrees from FSU. So, it's in my blood though burnt orange has overpowered the garnet and gold of the Seminoles. So, I have childhood friends that I keep up with on Facebook. Needless to say, they are livid. Here's what one of them posted.

We're not going to the Sugar Bowl. I did request the tickets. My priority is pretty low so I'd be shocked if I got the tickets. If I do, I'll make sure someone on this board has the opportunity to purchase the tickets at cost.
 
I know I'm getting ahead of myself, but just for grins I checked on tickets to Championship game on 1-8-24 at NRG Stadium. The least expensive tickets I found (checked several sites) was $945 per ticket (& they were going fast). Regardless of who is there I will enjoy the game from the comfort of my TV room.

Agree. They keep cruising with the big dog at the helm and no one questions them getting in.

Curious...are you also good with starters who lose their job after an injury.

Bottom line is the FSU got jobbed. That does not mean I am disheartened that we may have benefitted. But even there, this gives the network their potential dream match-up for promotions going into next year...SEC stalwart vs SEC newcomer, both storied programs...with the newcomer having already knocked on the door in a manner that made people sit up and say "Whoa nelly..."
