CFB Playoffs Announcement

WOW! I can hardly wait. A case involving Florida Normal School for Wayward Girls, aka, Florida School for Delinquent Boys, aka one of two highest payrolls in the state (not including free groceries from Publix). The part of the trial where they get into receiving free groceries from Winn Dixie AFTER Winn Dixie was in bankruptcy court should be a riot.

Judge: "Let me get this straight, after WD filed for Chapter 11, 122 coaches and players swear under oath that they NEVER received free food from your store, yet no one has yet to explain the $10,000 plus a month described as "random shoplifters"?

"Mr Fisher or Coach Fisher, when you get through smacking on those crab legs, would you please answer the questions?"

"Mr Onstead, if the court grants your request to purchase WinnDixie while in Chapter 11, do you promise to get to the bottom of this and straighten it out. Also you promise that neither you nor your father ever had similar problems in Texas. I think I might have to have an onsite visit to one of your old stores in Houston the first week of January; got any tickets. Thanks for visiting my courtroom & Hook Em"

That’s a clever and insightful response, Sabre.

My immediate response to the news report on the AG launching the investigation was more along the lines of “Oh FFS”

The Florida Attorney General is launching an antitrust investigation into the snubbing of FSU in the college playoffs.
Florida Attorney General investigating FSU football playoff snub
Anyone who thinks that FSU is the same team with its 3rd string qb is not being honest (aka a liar). This is about entertainment value and there is a lot of money being paid. Who wants to watch another TCU drubbing like last year. Thats not what this is about. Everyone feels bad for the qb that got hurt but its doesnt mean they stay in the same position. Guessing Georgia obliterates them and all the crybaby crap will stop.

Longhorn Legend-
Agreed. What is a little concerning though is that Finebaum and others think if Georgia won then FSU would have been in, since there would be 4 undefeateds.

Sort of related to the thread ...

I was watching a video Joel Klatt released today where he creates a 10-team playoff bracket with his picks for the best teams since 2000. Long video but kind of interesting if you have the time.

Hard to argue too much about 2001 Miami at #1. That team was loaded too.

I thought the same thing even though they are not the same team. We were on the outside looking in.

Georgia will likely win (and convincingly), but the excellent FSU defense can keep them in the game for a while - but the FSU offense probably can't do much against the Dawgs' defense. Georgia will eventually grind them down.

He has shown up again, this time crapping all over Maalik for leaving via the portal.
Not sure who that was but Malik going into the portal is whats best for him. Texas can't play all of them and he has a skill set that is exeptional so why not go somewhere that gives him playing time. Anyone dumping on the kid for that is just plain wrong. He will get paid (big win for him) and get to play. He has been a class act at Texas and his handling of the exit was just excellent. Best of luck to him.

Yeah I hate to see him go and most personally wish he could have stayed for the CFP game but his attitude has always been over the top. Would love for him to stay but he’ll never get the notice he needs as a back up.

Those wishing to hit the Hornfans Portal please have your applications submitted no later than December 31 for consideration by the committee.

Ummmmmmm. Excuse me. 2005 USC was declared by the sports media as the "Greatest College Football Team of All Time."

OR we could, IF they decide to visit HF We convince them of the benefits of supporting HornFans financially instead of letting Dion do it alone.
There are Many here who need to be educated
