2025 Recruiting - Football

Dude you are taking the term " businees decision" too literally.

His goal has always been to find where he can hit the field the fastest. Coupled with the relationship he has with Bill Bedenbaugh and the NIL he is receiving being the jewel of their class , equals....." business decision".
For the love of God- the dead horse has been thoroughly beaten.

Sure, but since when has it been a smart business decisions to not choose Texas? Stanford, sure. But OU? Come on.
Places that might make any sense for a real Blue Chip Recruit to choose over UT are:

Stanford: for the very smart good football players

Duke, Vanderbilt, Rice, Northwestern: very smart and in it for the education, not the football

Notre Dame: devout Catholics (especially Irish Americans) who are good football players

Flagship School of Your Home State: loyal to the soil on which thou wast born

From the A&M side, Howell at TexAgs thinks Fasusi is trending away.

A&M 247 basically wrote the opposite.

He'll announce his final decision around 2 p.m. tomorrow.

Every year, this is so entertaining.

I wouldn’t want to be competing against Sark and Texas. We have virtually everything — and I mean everything — going for us. The only arguments against Texas that make any sense would seem to be:

$$$ - If a Michigan is prepared to pay $10 million, more power to them. Or Phil Knight/Oregon.

Distance away from home for a kid in GA, FL or WA…

Kid wants a small city.

Quicker path to the field. (Maybe.)

We’ll see how it plays out but there is little doubt that we are in a very strong position. In fact, I believe probably the strongest position possible.

IT wrote about three potential flips this morning, one of which ended up being CB Kade Phillips.

There is an additional fish on the line now.

- the second prospect is being labeled as "likely" to flip to Texas, but they don't have any new info since the original update and that's viewed as a positive

- the third prospect is unlikely to flip at this time, but they're waiting to see if he signs tomorrow which would suggest Texas is in the thick of it

- the fourth, and newest possibility, is also seen as "likely" to sign with Texas but they're still investigating

Who is that 5* WR from Dallas area that Sark courted very hard but is looking elsewhere (Dakarian Moore?). This is another head scratcher (my preferred term moving forward). What’s his status?

cnb will know better, but as far as I know, he’s not in play or on the radar screen.

Thete were two 5* receivers in the Dallas area. We got Lockett. Moore has been committed to Oregon and hasnt budged.
The coaches were in contact with him a couple months ago but never gained traction.

You mean where DBU has always resided, going back to Raymond Clayborn and Johnny Johnson (and even further). Certain schools east of Austin seem to think history began in 1990, or later.
The depth we have in the secondary seems unprecedented. For example, the 2005 team was amazing, but did they have a Jay ‘Vion Cole and a Gavin Holmes sitting on the sidelines waiting, along with a player the caliber of Derek Williams, out for the year? They may have but I don’t recall.

Sark has built considerable depth at almost every position. In fact, that’s probably why we have a legitimate shot at the big prize this year. And maybe for the foreseeable future.

OTF reporting Fasusi talked with both OU and Texas staffs more than once today.

They have him at 60% to remain committed as of this evening, even though Hamilton seemed to be hinting that OU keeping their OL coach isn't a sure thing.

Word is that Javion Hilson will not be a Longhorn. Bummer.

The two big targets still on the board are Michael Fasusi (announcing today, I think) and Justice Terry. Terry looks like Friday.
