- last Friday's trip to Austin went great since he was the only visitor on campus, and he spent time with Jelani McDonald.

- Black says he's in contact with the Texas staff daily and he's comfortable picking the Longhorns if that's the way things work out.

- he's likely cancelling his future official visits to Alabama and LSU.

- his decision timeline is up in the air even though the Waco Connally staff would prefer he commits before the season.

- he mentioned he's likely to attend at least one Texas game in the fall.
