2023 Texas Rangers

Viper makes a good point, our guys may do much better not playing any games in the 30's - 40's late evening in Filthadelphia.
 
The Diamondbacks it is. They are on the same hot streak as Texas after ending the regular season getting swept by Houston. At least we won't have to deal with the awful fan base that is every Philadelphia team. This is a tough series to wrap my head around as both teams in the post season have been their best selves and whichever one keeps that up for one more series is going to have a World Series title that pretty much no one thought was coming three weeks ago. The Rangers have home field and their best chance ever win it all and for now that is all that matters as we head toward Friday and game one.

Impressive last two games by AZ. I say Rangers in 5, but I also thought 2019 Astros would spank the Nationals in 4 or 5. Of course, that went Nats in 7 - all visitors winning so...
 
So I skipped a chance to go to an ALCS game last week to save money for what I hoped would a World Series game instead and now paying way more than I ordinarily would, I have a ticket for tomorrow night and Game One. If any of my fellow fanatics will be there let me know and maybe we can put faces to user names. I didnt make it in 2010 or 2011 to a game (though in my defense I was living in the Caribbean at the time and getting back even for a die hard fan was just not in the cards). I have always said if the Rangers ever made it back and I had the means, I was going. After the wife was kind enough to sign off on the outlay, that bucket list item gets ticked off tomorrow. Just hoping this magical run has four more wins in it.

We should be able to beat the Snakes. We have a deeper rotation (especially if Scherzer returns to form) and a significantly better offense. Their only advantage is in the bullpen, and it isn't a big one. We should beat them in 5.

But the Snakes took 3 out of 4 from the Rangers this season.
 
Ok, arguably (to a few), the Rangers best pitcher starts Friday night: Eovaldi !!!

I think this will FIRE UP Eovaldi that he pitches Game 1 of this WS!!

I'm expecting good things Friday night!!!

Told my son the same thing in 2011. We'll be there for Game 2. Obscenely expensive for mediocre seats, but at a minimum, it will be a memorable experience for me and my son, and I think well worth it.
 
Evo is definitely our #1 right now

Dunning was our most effective SP for the last 9 weeks of the season, only pitched an inning or so vs Houston. If the rust is off we'll need him bigtime
