2023 Texas Rangers

Three teams within 1 1,000ths of a percentage point:

I was curious what happens if there was a three way tie at the end of the season since the tie-breaker winner would get a first round bye and the next would get WC spot #2 and the last would get WC spot #3. Guess what, nothing on MLB.com's tie-breaker rules clearly stated what happens in a three way tie.

Rangers back in a tie for first after win last night. I will be at the game Friday against the Twins if anyone else is going to be there PM me.

Wednesday: first pitch 5:40 pm CDT.

Dane Dunning (9-6) vs. Kodal Senga (10-7)

Senga has won 10 games, so he is probably one of their better pitchers.

Rangers really need to get the W and the sweep this evening!

This may be good for baseball but I hate thinking the Rangers are going to end up in a tie After I was pumped to think they could win it outright

I blame Worst and HHD.

Rangers trailed until the 8th.

Mets walked in a run to tie it 3-3. HUGE Heim single to center drove in 2 runs with 2 outs.

Going to B8th!

5-3 GOOD GUYS!!!

Need the bullpen to close the door!

Well, phooey! Bullpen couldn't hold the two-run lead. Mets tie it in bottom of eight. Now in top of nine, tied 5-5. Houston and Seattle already won their games - Rangers need this to stay in the tie for first.

Mets win in bottom on tenth on Hit Batter. Opportunity wasted. Rangers now one game behind Mariners and Astros.
Next up on Friday - Twins at Rangers, Mariners at Mets, Yankees at Astros. Absolutely MUST win this series.

Counting on Scherzer Friday night to get the win vs. the Twins.

Rangers need some payback for Twins taking 3 of 4 last week!

1. The freakin' Bullpen has lost a bunch of games where we had the lead late last 30 days.
2. Heim is not 100% with his wrist - not hitting the fast ball like before
3. Jung out until late Sept.
4. Bullpen
5. Leaving far too many runners on base
6. Chapman has struggled since moving from 8th inning relief to closer
8. Hoping Eovaldi is back next week and EFFECTIVE!
9. Did I say the Bullpen?

What did I leave off the list???

Unfortunately, Toronto won - so they're now only 1-1/2 games back for the last Wild Card slot. Make-or-break time for the Rangers - not fighting just for the AL West title, but also in a potential battle for the Wild Card.

Bochy looked exhausted after the loss to the Mets Thursday. Seemed really down

I may be the only one pumped about the Rs future. My guess is they go and get a couple more arms for the Pen in the off-season making this a true contender.

Losing Jung really hurt us. Been to only 2 games this year, but the sound of the crack off his bat is vicious. Different from any ranger I've seen. If he hadn't been injured....

We're still in it. Hang in there
