I recently had a conversation with a reporter (outside of Texas) who asked about the NCAA and NIL. My response was that the NCAA remains incompetent amateurs. Why not turn the rule making and enforcement over to the professionals - Barry, Jackie Sherrill, RC, et al. Not the ones that got caught, but the ones that stayed out front of any investigations. Let them make the NIL rules and enforcement.

Barry and Jackie are classic lines here. I guess I never really saw that side from RC and took him to be an honerable man. The first 2 are poster children for corruption!!!

RC is one of the greatest people you will ever know. I called him to congratulate him on beating us and to apologize for my team quitting during the game. He spent 45 minutes on the phone with me discussing everything from A&M's probation (near death penalty), the George Smith press conference, kidnapping the school president, Butch Hadnot, Bubba Bean, Johnny Hector, how his brother MB was doing, Coach Ted Jefferies. He is just good people.

I bestowed on RC the title of "King of the Kidnappers", which is saying a lot since I am also friends with Scott Hill. Everyone at A&M was involved in the cheating. Jackie said that the reason that A&M couldn't win was because there was no organization (unionization) of the illegal payments and things were very divisive.
