2022 Transfer Season

I’d say it’s a done deal at this point! Jones is a big time addition. When she’s healthy, she’s one of the most efficient bigs in the country and with Harmon and Matharu’s passing abilities she’s going to get some great looks. Now give me Lauren Fields and we’re in business!

Not to mention how well our 4's will compliment her.

And, if we land either Fatou Samb or Khadija Faye, then Taylor can play PF alongside a conventional Center in a super tall lineup.

And, now TexasWBB following Taylor on Instagram. This sounds like a done deal as that account rarely follows anyone.
It’s certainly a good indicator, but I want to urge a bit of caution as I recall that TexasWBB accounts following Kamilla Cardosa at one point too…..

And, it still does follow her to this day!

I'm still convinced something happened with an assistant coach we may have "hired" prior to April Phillips who had some kind of connection with Cardoso, but then it fell through.

Great pick up at a much needed position. She may not be as physical of an individual post defender as Ebo, but she makes the team even better defensively with her length and the ability to block/protect the rim. Which is exactly what you want with Vic’s pressure defense.

yes jones is coming home

Awesome pickup for this team!!!!! 5* talent at the post doesn't come around every day.
Also, looks like someone in LA right now posted this response:

    so exciting congrats!!

More tears for Aggies to shed as Taylor's Dad is an A&M grad!

Most Aggies still upset about us getting Vic, and they'd have preferred Sydney Carter landing anywhere other than Texas.

Yep. And I think that the fact that Vic is an aggie actually helps us with players like her and the other recuit.

Great numbers. You can make the argument that she's the second best post player from the portal in D1 right behind Reese.

I don't want to be that half-empty guy, but.......OSU lists Jones as a forward and I've seen some references to her as a post. The question is she came in to Texas with the understanding that Texas was going to use her as a post right?

As much as I liked Latasha, and as sorry as I was to see her go, Taylor looks like a definite upgrade to me.

Interesting that we will have 5 Juniors on scholarship next year vs only 1 with Aliyah this past season.

As the roster currently stands, any additional transfer ins will affect our 3 possible 2023 ships unless that transfer is a 1-year Senior. This assumes Aliyah elects to stay for her Super Sr extra year.

Actually, this roster accounting makes my head hurt since the portal makes everything so fluid. Plus, we still don't know if Abbie will be a walk-on in 2023.
