Faye killed us in that awful game in Austin this year - 11 boards and 3 blocks. I specifically remember her for how hard she played and it seemed like every time we tried to climb back into the game, she was there to screw something up for us. Was glad we didn't have to deal with her in the 2nd game @ Lubbock.

So with our entire staff and most players now mutually following Taylor Jones is seems like we may be hearing some good news soon.

Seems we are also recruiting Fatou Samb and Khadijah Faye. Surely we aren’t signing 3 centers, who would you guys prefer between the two? Don’t know a whole lot about either besides watching Faye some and Faye’s numbers seem to be better.

Still hoping for Fields too but getting the impression she is leaning towards KST, hope that isn’t true.

Lauren Fields appears to be on an official visit to Southern Cal (based on her Instagram stories).

According to Fields IG, she is visiting USC this weekend. Others may have better info than me but I don’t think Fields has visited Texas yet.

Fields top school are Duke,Usc,Texas,and Arizona
She visits Texas on Monday she confirmed this on live Wednesday night

Wouldn’t be looking at KST either so I was probably wrong about that. Also, if shes wanting to go to the final four I wouldn’t think she would be considering a Duke team that didn’t make the postseason and hasn’t signed much so far this offseason. Also, Arizona was bounced in the second round and has lost a lot from that team, again without signing any substantial replacements. And like you said, definitely not USC. Texas would certainly be the best chance.

If I could pick three it would be Faye, Jones, and Fields. If Fields wants to go to the final 4 I’d say Texas clearly has the best chance out of her top 4 and she fits Vic’s system so well. I’m not sure about Fatou as her stats really don’t stand out to me. I like what I’ve seen from Faye so if we even land two of those three i’d be content but I really want all three.

Agreed. And if Fields looks at the records of the coaches in those 4 programs, its not even close who comes out on top. I think that stat where Vic and Geno are the only coaches to take teams to the Elite 8 in the last 5 years is still the case.
 
Coaches and players from LSU starting to follow Angel Reese. Looking like KM has rebuilt pretty well with Carson, Martinez, and probably Reese after losing most of her starting lineup.
 
Until KM retires she will forever be a thorn in my side. Even if I wasn’t a Texas fan I would still be put off by her. She displays such cockiness and an all around terrible attitude. Do you guys ever watch her interviews? The amount of disrespect she shows to the people interviewing her mostly, like she is better than, like she can’t be bothered, but also to other teams is disgusting. Not to mention when she was talking trash to Empress years ago. That video still bothers me.

Yet here she is, once again, getting top recruits and making a name for herself, at a school that hasn’t had success in 10+ years. She truly is an unbelievable recruiter and coach, she is one of the best. Her win percentage is probably the best ever at the D1 level, I haven’t looked at stats but come on, next to Geno who has done better? I would respect the hell out of her if she wasn’t so despicable.

I always see people on here calling her a sea hag and honestly there is no better description; she really looks the part. I can feel my penis inverting every time I look at her.

Unnecessary rant yes, but I can’t help it. She does things to me.

At this point I think too many Texas fans are worried about what Kim Mulkey is or isn't doing. I don't like her, but once she went to the sec and wasn't competing against Texas, I stopped paying attention to her.

Now, once Texas moves to the sec I'll obviously start paying more attention to what she and the other teams in that conference are doing. But as of right now I'm more worried about what transfers Texas is trying to get to be better. And whether or not Aijha Blackwell is going to end up at the school Texas is currently competing against in conference.

I don't want Baylor to get any of the top transfers either. Not because I don't want to compete against them, but because I want the new coach to have to prove her coaching ability like Vic has had to prove his all over again when he came to Texas. I don't want to see Collen benefit from Baylor's reputation of past success that she had nothing to do with.

However... should she pull in those top transfers the way I see it that's just better competition for our STILL very young talented players to compete against making them even tougher, better, and more prepared for postseason.

I agree with your assessment. In my opinion, Mulkey is the most driven, ultra-competitive coach in WBB. Her current mission to turn LSU into a national championship contender is fueled by the spite and the grievance she feels towards the Baylor AD.

For those of us who have had to endure her over the years, her act and antics are tiresome and old. She’s a Disney-like villain to me. However, Mulkey doesn’t care what I think; she only cares about herself and the LSU program. She has only been at LSU for a year and she’s already on the trajectory to be the best coach on the LSU campus. I didn’t expect her to struggle at LSU but I did not expect that she would turn the program around so quickly.

Between the three, Taylor Jones would be my choice without any doubt. She is really super good. All those PAC-12 honors, even early in her career.
