" .... The Longhorns are adding Stewart to a class that includes arguably the top running back in the country in Jaydon Blue, who at 205 pounds with 10.97 speed in the 100m dash himself. These two are championship-level skill players we're used to seeing in the SEC. Blue will come in on day one and push the Top247’s No. 1 running back in the 2019 class in Bijan Robinson.

Texas needs more players of that caliber, the Robinsons, the Blues, the Stewarts, and it’s coming together now. Lewisville (Texas) High receiver Armani Winfield is a 247Sports Composite Top100 talent already in the fold. If I'm the Longhorns I'm all in Kevin Coleman out of St. Louis moving forward. The No. 3 receiver in the Top247 and 247Sports Composite would complete a running back/receiver haul that would be tough for any program to match nationally.

As Sarkisian and his staff work to get the Longhorns into the College Football Playoff equation, that will be dictated by what he does at the point of attack on both sides of the ball but you also need to have these Ferrari's like Stewart who can change the momentum of a game with one reception. Time to go get some big uglies!

Here is what Gerry Hamilton says on some of them as of today

OT Kelvin Banks, 6-5, 300 Banks began the recruiting process with Texas as the favorite. The Longhorns slipped behind LSU and Texas A&M this season, but are now trending once again. This is a recruitment the staff needs the premium position prospect to “come back home.”

OG Connor Robertson, 6-4, 295 Texas should absolutely win this recruitment. The offers have started pouring in, as expected for the guard prospect with a very good frame and the desired foot and body quickness.

OG Devon Campbell, 6-3, 305 Texas is all in with Jeff Banks and Kyle Flood bringing the tag team recruitment over from Tuscaloosa. Speaking to a source extremely close to Campbell Thursday, the big time OG is in communication with Texas much more than any other program.

OT Neto Umeozulu, 6-5, 300 Texas signs the best prospect out of Allen High in the 2022 class. If that is your prediction, that’s a terrific early bet. With the competition being Alabama, Oklahoma, Texas A&M and others… this will be a fun one to follow. Ohio State is also in the hunt here.

OG/T Kam Dewberry, 6-4, 315 This is a recruitment Texas could win. Dewberry had Texas at the top or very near the top of his recruitment prior to the offers pouring in. This one will not be easy, but is worth the Banks/Flood tag team effort. This is a recruitment where momentum certainly matters.

OT’s Jacob Sexton, Malik Agbo Maybe Sexton could end up the 2022 class version of Bryan Pickryl, but the staff won’t know unless they keep plugging away.

Offer to Aledo TE Jason Llewellyn (6'4,235). Holds an offer from Yale
Llewellyn’s father signed to play baseball at Texas coming out of high school but went MLB draft instead. After that, he walked on to the football team at TCU, playing LB. Both of Llewellyn’s parents are TCU grads, but his uncle, Steve Llewellyn, played at Texas.

Another possible next commit is OL Connor Robertson from Westlake
He is Trevell Johnsons most recent Twitter follow
Plus Robertson's last 4 follows are Johnson, Blue, Armani, and Stewart.
Plus, Robertsons recent likes are all UT.

ps - he just got a CB to Texas

Here is IT today on Ernest Cooper

DE Ernest Cooper IV, Arlington Martin: Martin LB, team leader, and Texas verbal Trevell Johnson is hard at work recruiting the 6-foot-4, 240-pound end. While IT still considers Stanford the clear team to beat, there is at least some growing optimism with UT’s chances within the recruiting ranks. If that time comes we’ll let you know when to get excited. This is a recruitment Jeff Banks, Pete Kwiatkowski, and Steve Sarkisian are working.

Offer to 4-star DE Zac Swanson from Phoenix Brophy College Preparatory
The #4 player in Arizona

Here is IT on recent offer Zac Swanson

DL Zac Swanson, Brophy Prep (Phoenix, AZ): Texas has a real shot for Swanson and if he wanted to commit he’d be welcomed to do so. Swanson’s father was a quality player for Stanford in the mid-90’s, which means Zac, like the rest of us, doesn’t much care for Cal. Like most of us, his grades aren’t quite good enough for Stanford. He’s looking to get out of state with Texas the school he wants to visit first when visits are restored sometime in 2027. He‘s had his eyes on Texas since the new staff was hired. USC and Oregon are also schools to watch.

2027? He's a big mature looking kid for a 7th grader.

Here is Mike Roach on a couple of recruits

Connor Robertson, OL, Austin Westlake. I placed a 247Sports Crystal Ball in favor of the Longhorns for Robertson recently. A Texas legacy and local prospect, Robertson didn't hide his excitement about a Texas offer. The Longhorns are still sorting through options up front, but Robertson said he hoped to make a decision in the next few months.

Bryce Anderson, S, Beaumont Westbrook. Blake Gideon has been on his game since arriving back to work at his alma mater, and his work is paying off with elite safety Bryce Anderson. Anderson picked LSU early in his high school career but chose to open his recruitment at the beginning of the year. Texas A&M was perceived to be the biggest threat to land the versatile and dynamic defender, but Texas has been coming on strong lately. Our best intel has Texas with a lead and Anderson eyeing a decision before his senior season.

Kam Dewberry, OL, Humble Atascocita. Dewberry is another prospect Texas is starting to flip momentum on after looking away from Austin for most of his recruitment. The four-star offensive tackle has focused on schools like Oklahoma, Alabama, Ohio State and Texas A&M, and it seemed like the Aggies were the favorite to land him heading into the year. Enter Kyle Flood. The new Texas offensive line coach has been hard on Dewberry's trail and he's changed the perception of the Atascocita star. It wouldn't hurt if Sam Cosmi went high in this year's draft either.

TFB says Swanson is "sudden & balanced enough to play outside. Power to play inside."
Oregon, USC & others pushing hard but says Texas jumped in the top group and plans on visiting Austin.
And Brophy is supposed to be a top shelf AZ high school

Calif highs school are supposed to have a Spring Season (I think they were talking abut a 5g season starting Mar). But I have been reading that coaches there are becoming increasingly pessimistic a season will actually happen, due to their Governor
Not great for Murphy's development. Hopefully they figure it out (or move to Houston and play)

Sounds like Maalik will get to play this season
