2022 Recruiting - Football

Got a CB in for 5-star OL Devon Campbell to Texas by Nick Harris
Big need obviously
He now has 3 CBs total, all Texas
He has loved UT for at least 2-3 years. Glad he stuck with us thru the last 2 yrs of herman ball. And nice to see some CB's coming in for him.

Last year was a great in state OL class, no doubt
But 2022 is also looking nice as well, especially with players we look good with at the moment -- Campbell, Banks, Dewberry, Neto and Robertson.
Plus we have several OOS OLs who Flood was already working on, plus we may get the Maalik Murphy effect for some high ranked West Coast OLs as well.
If we do this right, this class will be our best OL haul in over a decade and it could not come at a better time

I've read that plenty of times too
But, until today, he had only one CB total (Mike Roach)
As of today, he has 3 (one of those from an ou guy)

Yup, that's why I mentioned the cb's. He's never given us the "dream school" line so there is major hope here.

Here is Nick Harris on WR Chris Marshall, who I love

".... Marshall exploded onto the scene this past season with huge numbers and production in his first season playing high school football, and the recruiting attention followed. Marshall is a guy that I full expect to get a high rating in the 2022 class update as he possesses a huge frame and elite ball skills. (aggy) and USC jumped out in front in this one, and the Aggies are starting to separate themselves. I have entered a Crystal Ball Prediction in favor of (aggy) with a confidence score of 5. I wouldn't count the Trojans out just yet though as they have been making a huge recruiting push in the Houston area in the 2022 class, especially since the hiring of Bryan Carrington."

Here is Eric Nahlin on Kris Ross
Kris Ross will announce in March.
Outcome is still good

And now we can see why he pushed his announcement back

....Sounds like 247 is pushing folks to put in their CBs because there are several popping up today

With all the new CBs being posted today, including 2 new picks today for Devon Campbell to Texas, I took a peak at Banks and Dewberry just to make sure, and neither has any new picks to aggy today. The pre-existing picks for them to aggy (Banks has 2 and Dewberry has 1) are not recent.
It's not much but it's something

The OU 247 mod, Drumm, said Texas has several dominoes about to fall in their favor.

offer to OL Cole Hutson of Frisco

We "re-offered" 4-star OL Cole Hutson from Frisco
The 247 Comp has him as the #9 OG

Arm strength is impressive.
I know this is just a snippet of a practice but he is throwing off his back foot. Perhaps this is by design, simulating a collapsing pocket where he can't step into his throw, making a quick throw.
I wonder what his accuracy is throwing to someone on the run. Probably pretty good. My trust is in Sark.
For me it's not a foregone conclusion that he's going to be the starter of the future. I still have a good feeling about card.
I think Thompson if he has a good season he's going to go pro then it will be between Card and Murphy.
I hope Card gets plenty of playing time without Thompson being hurt as the reason.

I have to take this back
Another CB did come in for Banks to aggy (confid level 5)
