Wiltfong CBd Phaizon to Texas
Not sure how to feel about that
Maybe as a TE

Nick Harris diagrees, he sees no Phaizon in our future

Broad academic spectrum to his offers

He reminds me of a guy I knew in college who said he was pre-med. He said it quite often around the ladies. About ten years after I ran into him at a reunion. I enthusiastically asked him how the medical career was going...

He said, "I didn't do it."

pffffff....

People talk a big game...

I'm fine w no Phaizon. Let's go get Coleman and be done w WRs
That would only give us 3 and all would move immediately to the top of the pecking order. That means some feelings will be hurt which means hello portal for 1 or more currently on the roster. We need a minimum of 4 and maybe Phazizon if they want to project him at TE.
Also let us not forget Thompson. A no brainer take any other year.
We lost the Aledo TE to ou today. He was our main TE on our board. We'll most likely pursue an out of stater harder now.

247 stating that Texas isn't expected to be on Wilson's list of schools, and both parties have basically gone their separate ways.

I hope Sark doesn’t lose his opening game like Herman the worm’n to kill the momentum.

Actually it is a distinct possibility as Louisiana is no push over. They beat BYU last year and return basically their whole team. They are likely going to start the season in the top 25 and maybe even ahead of us.

Ain't gonna happen.

Don't count your chickens, Louisiana is a legit top 25 team.

Gerry Hamilton thinks we look good with this Calif LB
Would be a bit of a shocker, if so

Keep in mind Sark has a history of working with Polynesian players, remember he played for BYU who are known for having tons of Polynesian players, then he coached at both USC and Washington again two schools that traditionally have lots of Polynesian players. I wouldn't count him out with anyone from California, especially a Polynesian player.

We will hope you are correct
But they told us the same thing about Langi
We landed one guy in 4 years

There is only one player who would qualify for this, if the part about the 5-star is true, and accurate

Banks and Dewberry are 4-stars

Sadly the poster does not have a great rep at that site, so it might just be trolling. We will see

Mike Roach on Jovantae Barnes

I was able to see Las Vegas (NV.) Desert Pines running back Jovantae Barnes workout today. The four-star prospect holds over 30 offers including one from Texas. The Longhorns are pursuing Barnes to join Jaydon Blue who is already in the class. Barnes said he has a strong relationship with Stan Drayton and the two connect on a deep level. Barnes also used to live in Rowlett and is familiar with the state of Texas. While the Longhorns appear to be in the race, it's tough to say they are at the front. From talking to him, Oklahoma, Florida and USC seem to be the schools he speaks most glowingly about. He plans to take his time with the process and hopes to take some visits if they open up this spring.

There is a big Pylon 7v7 event in Bullhead City, NV this weekend - which is where Roach is (see above^)
Texas commits Maalik Murphy, Jaylon Guilbeau and Jaydon Blue will be there
Also there will be Texas targets Kevin Coleman, C.J. Williams, Larry Turner-Gooden, Malachi Nelson + others
Evan Stewart couldn't make it at the last minute

BTW, as mentioned a couple times above, Stewart is a savvy SM guy who already has a huge following that he has been able to monetize
Some people see him as a test case for UT in the new world of NIL which is about to explode
In other words, if we get it right with him from the start, his furthered SM successes will lead directly to more 5-stars for us in the near future
Not many school have our capacity in this regard
But does Texas Football have the right team in place right now to capitalize on that capacity?
They say we are on it
But we will have to wait and see if this is accurate

Hullaby will commit at 4 PM today
He is a 4-star in the Comp and in the ESPN 300, but a 3-star on 247 and Rivals

Texas has never had a recruiting class over 300 in the 247 system. I'm sure if 247 was around for the 2002 class it would have been but it wasn't.

It would be nice if we could get this class over 300 pts.
