Picking apart administrative strategy! So this is what we do when the team is on a winning streak. :beertoast: Loving it.
You gave your opinion and I gave mine. You have that right and so do I. Trying to infer that sharing mine and others’ experiences is somehow blasphemy and detrimental to our team says all I need to hear. I gave nothing but compliments to Coach Schaefer, his staff and our WBB in general. Plonsky is a completely different topic so I won’t follow you DOWN THERE. You have a great day......

What in the world are you talking about? I don’t have any issues with you or your opinions on here. We might differ in our opinions on CP, but I’m fine with that. I have taken offense to somewhat insulting comments like “Sky King to Penny” but inferring blasphemy? Really? Because I said I’m fine if you don’t like her? Or because I commented that not having a loss to pick apart we’ve moved on to administration? Key word: We

i once commented that my humor is sometimes misunderstood on here. A poster told me that a few well placed emojis might help…

There is nothing I could say other than adoration for Plonsky that would have pleased you. Accusing me of “picking apart administrative strategy” was not accurate or factual, nor does it have anything to do with our team or their winning streak except obviously in your world. If your humor is rooted in misinterpretation and inaccuracies, it’s not humor. As far as the “Sky King to Penny” thing....that was just my humor, and as we were discussing at the time perimeter shooting, your argument about a post player having a higher shooting percentage did not make sense to me. I respect your dedication to WBB and enjoy most of your posts. I still think Matharu is our best OUTSIDE shooter......although Harmon is really coming on. I wish you a good day....

Bobcat,

We (not you) were discussing (picking apart) administration which I humorously indicated was how we are filling our (OUR) time because we currently are on a high about the team’s success. I’m not sure what else you would want me to say other than “I’m fine if some people don’t like her”. I do. You don’t. Not sure where the argument is or where my demand that you change your mind was implied. Maybe I don’t understand the emoji’s but I assumed this one :beertoast: meant that we were having a good time.

So, TCU is keeping Raegan Pebley another season? She followed up her 2020-21 season record of 10-15 with a 6-22 record this season.

Over these last 2 seasons, there are new Big 12 coaches at Texas, Tech, OU, and Baylor. There will be new head coaches next season at OSU and WV.

Pebley has tenure over every head coach in the Big 12 except those at ISU, KSU, and KU.

Business decision:

1) How much does she make?
2) When is her contract up?
3) What does women's BB bring in?
4) Difference in gross revenue between now & if TCU had a coach finishing in the top 2-3 in conference?
5) New coach changes things, wins, & leaves. What is the overall coast?
6) How many people care; and how many are BMDS?

TCU will NEVER come close to breaking even on women's BB, so they try to keep the losses as low as possible. Again, how many people care?

Super happy for her coach JD! Selfishly I do wish she had stuck around a while longer, heard her name mentioned some really impactful P5 jobs and I want to see her succeed at the highest level!

Well this sucks but I’m proud of her she deserves it! The first person Vic needs to call is Kelly Bond White from A&M

Vic and Kelly Bond White (KBW) know each other well. They were both assistant coaches for Gary Blair at Arkansas and A&M. If my math is correct, they both served as assistant coaches for Blair for about 9 years. From reviewing her bio, KBW was the coach responsible for the guards at A&M. Assuming she has Vic's stamp of approval, KBW seems like the perfect candidate to fill the vacancy of Jackson Durrett.

Although KBW was passed over for the head coaching position at A&M, she could be a candidate for other HC positions in WBB. There are numerous HC vacancies, so it may be a while before we get more visibility/clues for candidates for the vacancy at Texas. Vic should have the pick of the crop of assistant coaches, not only for the perks that come with the University of Texas but also to coach Rori Harmon for the next three years.

As an add-on to my post, although we are just now learning about Jackson-Durrett's departure, Vic has likely known about it for several weeks as she went through the interview process. He (via the agents of assistant coaches) may have already started the due diligence process on some of the candidates for the role.

From the A&M message board:

I'm hearing KBW will be introduced as Southern Illinois's new head coach.

Big congrats to Coach JD! We all knew this would happen sooner than later. KBW would have been a great replacement, but I too figured she may be interviewing for some of the other openings. One thing we know for sure, Vic will get a competent and suitable replacement. Some of us thought the world was coming to an end when we lost Johnnie Harris, but Coach AP has been a really good replacement.

Did I read somewhere that Elena Lovato was contemplating getting back into coaching?:e-thinking:
