2020 Senate & House

Interesting race in the NC11 R-primary

Lynda Bennet was endorsed by Trump, Jim Jordan, Ted Cruz and others but she was easily beaten by 24 year old Madison Cawthorn because he aligned with the Sheriffs and conservative police chiefs, and ran on law and order.

He, she? Huh?

This is the NY-17 Dem primary

One of the three, Adam Schleifer, spent $4.5 million (most of it his own money) and got wiped out (barely 6,000 votes or ~20%)

I have a picture of his wife too, but am not posting it since some might find it too distracting

The NRSC and GOP are flipping out over Doug Collins' announcement for Senate.
Loeffler was Governor Kemp's hand-picked Senator to replace Isakson who just retired. Other than the female part, Loeffler is a typical old school Rep pick, a big money donor to the Rs. Kemp personally went to DC to try and convince Trump about her. But Trump preferred Collins.
Loeffler is wealthy and had donated a lot to campaigns, including at least one Democrat. She also had the bad sense to donate to Mitt Romney for Senate. Worse is that she is weak on immigration and abortion. This is part of why Kemp thought she would pull in the suburban Atlanta female vote. But my guess is that Collins will crush her since he is so closely tied to Trump (although Loeffler is much hotter than Collins). This matter shows there is still a huge gap between Senate Rs and Trump & his voting base.

Because what we need most in a swing state is a primary fight and a divided party.

Collins is not perfect either (see Google), but Loefller's insider trading after being in office a month was too much

Similar how the Madison dude upset an incumbent in western NC. People on the right aren’t asleep in this election cycle.

I'm hoping to see a red wave. The moderates, who determine elections, have got to be as scared as we conservatives are when they look at the democrat party.

My HS buddy who hasn’t voted in last 3 elections is voting for Trump, as he is scared of the left.

I didn't think Tuberville was going to roll Sessions like that.

Sessions was magnanimous in defeat, just as you might expect
It's sort of a good news/bad news result
Trump endorsed Tubs, so that victory margin is a good sign
Also good is Alabama fan was willing to vote for an Auburn coach
The bad news is that Sessions was very strong on the border/immigration while Tubs is weak (and Google seems to have firmly implanted itself up his rectum)
But we need as many Rs in the Senate as possible
If you dont already know, RBG is back in the hospital. And we find ourselves in need of yet another SCOTUS pick to save us from the too often disappointing John Roberts and the now wobbly Gorsuch.
Plus it would be nice if we didnt have to constantly sweat over what people like Collins and Graham were going to do

In Texas-22, former Fort Bend County Sheriff Troy Nehls beat Kathleen Wall. If you are in the area, you could not miss Wall's ads, she spent a mint in the loss. This just 2 years after she lost to Dan Crenshaw.

This is Pete Olson's old seat outside Houston (and used to be Tom DeLay's). It's important to hold it. Nehls has great local branding. In 2016, he got more votes more than Hillary who carried the county. Some more rioting would probably help.

This isnt the House or Senate but its very bad news nonetheless.

José Garza won the Dem primary for Travis County DA. He is a Marxist who was supported by Soros money as well as people like Liz Warren. He has already promised to stop arresting people of color for crimes. Basically, if you are a registered Dem voter, you can now just do whatever the hell you want.

In a different thread, we were talking about how Austin had avoided becoming full of the same antifa meatheads that have taken over Portland. Well this guy is going to take Austin there. If you thought it was bad in Austin the last time you were there, with homeless people everywhere you looked, wait til this guy gets through with it. He is going to make Austin a complete dump.
