2020 Recruiting - Football

I'm setting the over/under for Zach Evans stay at TCU at one year.

I think he will be there less than a full academic year. So I'm taking the under.

What do my fellow Hornfans say, over or under a full academic year?

I think they will keep him academically eligible through the Fall semester. Spring? I have grave doubts.

Boykin, Turpin, etc.

Evans picked the right place. Private school too, so no need to worry about partially qualifying. We dodged a bullet with that one. As did UGA.

He won't finish his college eligibility one way or another, but my guess is he's very good for them for at least a season.

Zach Evans = Chris Pryor 2.0

He will come in and expect to be given the starting job and Patterson won't so he will be gone even before the first game. He will disappear and end up at a place like Texas Southern he will play for a year and try to get into the league or join some upstart league. Then he will disappear and turn up 10 to 15 years later working out of some burger truck and be the subject of articles about who Zach Evans used to be.

Quotes from Cain --

"They (Texas) usually don't recruit wide receivers out-of-state, but Mike Yurcich would text me and call me every day. He felt I was a sleeper so I guess that's why they went all out ...

" Coach Yurcich explained specifically how he wanted to use me in his offense, so I couldn't complain. Also, I'm not a big fan of recruiting. I was relieved I found the school for me... At Texas, I'll be able to be a back-side receiver or outside receiver where I can win 1-on-1 matchups and force a safety to play over the top because I'm a deep threat. They also plan to move me around, play in the slot, to utilize my route-running."
