Did I not write a post about 3-4 months ago saying that Evans should sit out 2020 and sign instead in 2021? I can’t recall what triggered that post, but likely the only way for that man to save face and choose what is right for him.

The young man has real problems and needs significant help.
 
Exactly. He is this year's winner of the Ron Morris Award, continuing to shop his talents and see who would pay the most, even after he signed. Georgia never submitted his letter after his behavior at the State Finals, then when he continued to shop for a better deal, they cut him loose.

Sumlin & Locksley are the only two I know dumb enough to take him on.

You have Georgia contacts or what? Sounds like a slam dunk NCAA violation for whoever does take him...
 
My understanding was that a lot of schools backed off of him but Georgia wanted him, right up until he acted up at the state finals game and was sent home. Those actions caused them to back off. He sent in his paperwork and they chose not to file them.

Texas, Bama, and Georgia have all backed away from him. I'm not sure who else has, but I know those 3 have. I'm pretty sure aggy will still take him, they would probably take him if he were a corpse as long as he maintained his 5'star status.

Pretty sure anyone who takes him will likely get under the microscope by the NCAA, I've read that his recruitment has gotten pretty dirty. As I understand it, he's got people all around him expecting a handout.

Mike Roach of 247 is not that impressed with our chances with Princely Umanmielen. But with Matt Rhule leaving Baylor, Texas has a much better shot now.
