No. Only one was Ringo. Hell, they did not even have the correctly colored UT hat out there. The guys that Texas had offered were later dropped by Texas except Ringo. Even McGlothern and Evans.

Texas pretty much got who they wanted except Van Fillinger, Ty Jordan and Quentin Johnston. those guys ultimately did not buy-in, so better they are not here.

Collins and Ummanmielen are the main targets now along with Keontay's brother and Rakestraw (evidently and hopefully) and a linebacker.
 
We aren't there but I do still believe going in that direction. We do need to take the next step in where we start getting some top players. It takes times though, especially where we were 3 years ago. We just don't have many dudes compared to the top 5-6 programs right now.

I would like to see SMU do well. They were dirty and got nailed by the NCAA, and rightly so. But there were other evildoers who got away with a lighter punishment. Ags were dirty all of the way up to Bum Bright and they got caught sending money to a kid in MS, AFTER they were caught for other offenses. SMU was the only one to get the dealth penalty.

The kid made a good choice. Good coach, good campus, good school, and great town with plenty of strong alumni for after football. The best to him.
 
Where did that kid go, from St Louis I think smallish but fast WR who decommitted months ago. Can't remember his name
 
Looking at Texas offers balanced by who we got.

QB- Easily I think we got who we wanted.
RB - Absolutely got who we wanted.
OL - Got most of the guys we wanted. Only guy we didn't get was Lingberg, but I don't see him as a big loss.
TE - N/A
WR - Did not get who we wanted, missed out on several top guys.

DL - Got 1 of the guys still in the running for 2 others.
LB - Got 1 of the guys we were after
DB - Got 3 of our main targets but missed on a ton of others.

Agreed. His name is Preston, and he’s from a private school in North Dallas. The kid has SMU written all over him. Good luck to him, and may he continue their new QB tradition established by Shane.

Exactly! The Death Penalty was exercised once, to show that it really existed. With all the stuff Zero U did in 1989 (rapes, shooting in the dorm, drug dealing) and again in 2006 or so (Big Red Sports and Imports, players getting paid for bogus jobs they didn't work - sounds like lack of institutional control) and Baylor (covering up sexual allegations by the coaching staff and the University administrators), if Zero U and Baylor didn't get the death penalty, it doesn't really exist any more.
 
The last time I observed the mass movement of athletes to one or two schools was to SMU and aggy back in the late 70’s. I opine without proof that Georgia is dirty as hell. Time for Georgia Tech to blow the whistle.

If they are cheating, they are doing it wrong. They need to study Bama, USC from 2000 to 2006, or maybe THE Ohio State University.

I am late with reply, sorry - but I think the Hawaii Bowl was on Christmas Eve?

They also have the Hula Bowl, which is a college all-star game, but its not until Jan 26 (they say they are they last bowl game of the season and will have a long of international players)

One of the Georgia reporters said aggy coaches are also "in the dark right now" and have no idea what Evans is doing either

I have read that JQJ's knee injury is not as bad as first thought. Did he have surgery on his knee or is he letting it heal without surgery?
 
"It’s unclear if Evans will be an early enrollee at his next stop as he previously planned." Did he graduate from HS in December? This guy has Hollywood Henderson Syndrom written all over him.
