Just for the record, I do not support the actions of the protestors yesterday. They should not have stormed the Capitol.

But it's important to point out that this type of disruptive, unlawful behavior has been normalized by the Left and the media for quite some time. Why are we surprised when right wing groups decide to do the same? I see this as analogous to the Broken Window theory in criminology. If the left and MSM continue to encourage antisocial behavior for left wing groups then they should expect the same antisocial behavior from right wing groups. As a society, we have to be consistent in condemning unlawful and unruly behavior regardless of politics. Its not enough for us just to condemn unlawful actions of right wing groups.

This protest may have taken it to a new level but it was a predictable next step in a slippery slope that the MSM has encouraged for years.

I completely agree. The Left tolerated and encouraged violence, and the media cheered it on. You're also right that by doing so, they encourage violence on the Right. That is all true. My point is that I don't think this is the best time to highlight that fact - not because it's in bad taste or anything like that but because I don't want to blunt the condemnation of the Capitol idiots. They deserve everything they're getting. I want to encourage condemnation of BLM and Antifa when they do their mahem.

Which ones and when? I agree that his dumbassery during Covid hurt him, but mindlessly playing the "science card" doesn't explain much. If he had listened to everything Anthony Fauci (who was all over the map over the course of the pandemic - not because he's incompetent but because he's human) said but still mouthed off and acted like a goofball, he still would have lost.

I'm from a small town. I have a lot of friends who are Trump supporters. Her relationship with Willie Brown came up dozens of times in my newsfeed with links from conservative sources. As far as subjecting myself to Fox News and it's more ardent little brothers... I don't do much of that because I find it irritating... the ratio of news delivery to partisan BS demands a lot of time to learn anything useful... honestly that's true of most broadcast media. Newspapers are better for your mind anad your blood pressure.
