2020 Presidential Election: let the jockeying commence

Here is the latest LIE from the DMC, In the Atlantic
"The Atlantic alleged that the White House's claims that Trump couldn't visit the fallen American soldiers buried at the landmark cemetery because bad weather made a helicopter ride unsafe were not true.

"Trump rejected the idea of the visit because he feared his hair would become disheveled in the rain, and because he did not believe it was important to honor American war dead, according to four people with firsthand knowledge of the discussion that day," Atlantic Editor-in-Chief Jeffrey Goldberg wrote. "In a conversation with senior staff members on the morning of the scheduled visit, Trump said, 'Why should I go to that cemetery? It's filled with losers.' In a separate conversation on the same trip, Trump referred to the more than 1,800 Marines who lost their lives at Belleau Wood as "'suckers' for getting killed."

This from John Bolton's book ( Bolton is no Trump fan)
"
"On Saturday, I went to the US Ambassador's residence, where Trump was staying, to brief him before his bilateral with [French President Emmanuel] Macron. The weather was bad, and [then White House Chief of Staff John] Kelly and I spoke about whether to travel as planned to the Château-Theirry Belleau Wood monuments and nearby American Cemeteries where many US World War I dead were buried," Bolton wrote. "Marine One's crew was saying that bad visibility could make it imprudent to chopper to the cemetery. The ceiling was not too low for Marines to fly in combat, but flying POTUS was obviously something very different."
Bolton later wrote, "It was a straightforward decision to cancel the visit but very hard for a Marine like Kelly to recommend, having originally been the one to suggest Belleau Wood (an iconic battle in Marine Corps history). Trump agreed, and it was decided that others would drive to the cemetery instead."
Does John Bolton's memoir undercut The Atlantic on Trump's canceled visit to US cemetery in France?
Think Atlantic will name the fake sources?

The daily attacks are despicable. It is clear, there is a coordinated attack going on. These people are sick. Trump has to win. That's all there is to it.

This is a stupid-*** move by Trump. Link. He has decent support in the military. This isn't a smart way to show it. Stars and Stripes isn't enormously important, but military personnel do read it and won't like it if it's gone for no good reason.

I will wait to hear Trump's call on this.

It's described as a "Pentagon order," so I'm not sure where it came from. If it came from Trump, then shame on him for doing something that foolish. If not, then he needs to shitcan whoever ordered it.

mc
Thank you. That order to cut Stars and Stripes seemed as out of character as Trump not wanting to visit a memorial cemetery to WWII Marines because of hair.
Didn't take him long did it?

'Not a white guy named Edison': Biden claims a black man invented the light bulb

This is how Biden plans to prove he's fit to lead the greatest economic and military super power in the history of the world:

Virtue Signaling.

He's been around for how long? And now he wants to straighten every nuance of history out to ensure the black vote. Wow...

Thomas Edison mannequin at the top of the Eiffel Tower. The French saw fit to honor him. They must be racist too. Everybody is that isn't Joe Biden...

Gold from Mr. Goldberg:

Even worse than Jeffrey Goldberg’s sexist quote was his gaslighting of a journalist

"It’s really, really hard to write a 10,000-word cover story. There are not a lot of journalists in America who can do it. The journalists in America who do it are almost exclusively white males. What I have to do — and I haven’t done this enough yet — is again about experience versus potential. You can look at people and be like, well, your experience is writing 1,200-word pieces for the web and you’re great at it, so good going!

That’s one way to approach it, but the other way to approach it is, huh, you’re really good at this and you have a lot of potential and you’re 33 and you’re burning with ambition, and that’s great, so let us put you on a deliberate pathway toward writing 10,000-word cover stories. It might not work. It often doesn’t. But we have to be very deliberate and efficient about creating the space for more women to develop that particular journalistic muscle."

He was ripped by guess who? LIBERALS...

But they believe him now.

Wow. Deez is a very smart guy and fell for this. Stupid people certainly fall for this crap on a daily basis.

The order was issued. Trump is distancing himself from it now. If he had nothing to do with it, then let's see who issued it and see that person shitcanned.

Hey look, I agree with 99% of what you say, but your post above seemed a bit knee jerk that Trump would actually have ordered that to happen. "Stupid move by Trump".

He isn't known to walk back stuff. You've said that. He sticks to his convictions, so it's doubtful he called for that reduction and then walked to back.

If he didn't order it, then who did? Let's identify this rogue commander, so he can be dealt with appropriately.

Careful. He rarely walks anything back, but rarely doesn't mean never. If he pisses his base off, he will walk something back. That is the exception to the general rule. At least a significant part of the military is part of his base, and frankly, it's the part most likely to read Stars and Stripes.

Dunno. The article says the Pentagon report was obtained by US media. Color me skeptical there was such and order and that any Congressmen wrote letters about it. Why didn't they publish all that in the article?

Let's say someone did have this idea. He found out and said it won't happen. Only our media and Dems would run wild with it.

Then the Administration should deny that there was ever an order and call the story "fake news," which it would be if the order never existed.

Let's say someone did have this idea. He found out and said it won't happen. Only our media and Dems would run wild with it.

Only our media and Dems would run wild with it, but even a responsible media would cover it.

Well that is how he picked his running mate, who could wind up in line to be the President of the U.S.

He’s probably being fed these little tidbits by woke staffers who look to rewrite history. A black guy filed a patent that IMPROVED the light bulb 2 years after Edison patented it. That’s close enough for liberals.

Deez, just admit you jumped to a wrong conclusion about Trump and S&S and let it go. Your TDS is still not totally cured it seems.
