2020 Presidential Election: let the jockeying commence

That's fine, but honestly the President shouldn't be getting caught up in stuff like this.
Why not? There are a lot of jobs dependent on sports. Shouldn't the President be concerned about that and keeping people employed?

Is it political? Perhaps, and most likely yes. But, so what? What does anyone in office do that isn't political?

How is it possible that people will early vote before any debates?
I usually don't pay tons of attention to debates, as I have heard most of the talking points before.
But, I think these debates are critical, especially to those who haven't made up their minds to find out for themselves the state of Biden's mental health.
From what I have seen, and most of y'all, he literally can't read a sentence without fumbling it. I can't imagine him in front of leaders from other countries, let alone the USA.
I am in no way making fun of him, my father suffered from dementia as well.
But we as Americans need to know how long it will be before Kamala and her hoards of hard leftists take over. I'm betting mere months.
Hiding him isn't the answer if he and his voters think he can handle being President.
It totally boggles my mind that anyone thinks skipping the debates, or pushing them so far back is A-OK.

debates are an early form of reality television and like all such trash are worthless if not harmful. Consider the first such televised encounter. People who read it thought Nixon the clear winner but people who watched the performances thought Kennedy did. Kennedy won the glamour war and Nixon the thinking war.

The debates have descended over time. Now it is sound bites and appearance and who can be most snarky. Those charms are not of any use when dealing with Putin or that ape in China. Or when trying to get a divided congress to do something

Obama was perfectly charming and telegenic, etc, but had no more success than Trump in getting anything through congress. And before anybody starts going off on Obamacare, please take into consideration that it should be called Pelosicare because she molded it and got it pushed through Congress, not the pretty boy in the White House.

Biden will sputter a bunch of inane bs and Trump will brag and insult

Oh I completely agree. But as we all know Trump is not traditional. At a fault most of the time.
But in his defense. The bigwigs at the Big 10 made a HUGE mistake. There have been petitions, protesting and now lawsuits and they were not listening to any of it. I know that the President shouldn't stick his nose into it but he did and I hope it worked.

I have a different take on Biden and the debates. I’m convinced that IF they happen it will completely orchestrated with previously scripted questions (for Biden) with written answers. And he will not say anything not on script. The moderator(s) will he controlled patsies. In fact the candidates may not even be together. Might be via split screen, believe me they are collaborating on the spectacle right now.
The democrat objective is getting the White House, not Biden.

My guess is that those who truly haven't made up their minds won't vote early. Those who are voting early aren't going to be convinced by anything that happens in the debate. How badly would Biden have to screw up for your woke, feminist friends on Facebook to vote for Trump? It's not gonna happen. He could walk out on the stage with his pants around his ankles, and they'd vote for him and assume Harris would essentially be president

Gee I am So surprised

The never trumpers are saying odd things too, as if they too know Biden can’t win.

I’ve seen enough of Biden and Harris to know the race is over. COVID and the economy are trending positive. Game over.

"Cue Biden asking people if they feel safer under Trump and portending ominously, ‘Does anyone believe there will be less violence in America if Donald Trump is reelected?’ Does that count as escalation? Because it sure sounds like a threat."

It is a threat and anyone who doesn't believe it is an idiot. I'm saying it right now. They're an idiot. The Left will burn cars in the streets when Trump wins. We all know it. They are warning us now.

What is also interesting to me is that the police are managed by the local politicians. They are accountable for their employees. I'll let you think that one over.

It became his job when other leaders failed to act.

That is what all dictators say. Like Obama.

I am not calling Trump a dictator to be clear. I am saying why I don't like your comment. It isn't his job. The President doesn't get to or shouldn't do whatever he wants in any area of society that people have a disagreement. The Big 10 canceling football was dumb but it wasn't unjust or within scope of a President.
