TEXAS - 34

gooner - 37

Kevin Mar & co strike again. gooner OL has more tackles than gooner DL.

The wave behind the pumping up of the Longhorns nationally is strong. It harkens me back to a rainy car ride in downtown Dallas on October 7, 2000 where the horns were a 7+ point favorite and I was griping to my wife that we were going pay good money to get up at the *** crack of dawn to go sit in the rain and essentially watch a prison rape. Turns out I was wrong, Q scores again, and I was the most gracious Sooner fan around the two Longhorns that sat in front of us for the first half. You just never know. We got back to Bridgeport Tx to pick up the 2 and 3 year old and they had been taught to "hook'em". The next year at church they were learning sign language and my daughter told them that they couldn't do the sign for "I love you" because "my daddy said it's bad".

Anyway, I'm hopeful. I'm going down for debauchery with the college friends. I'm getting a feeling that the national media may be hyping you guys up a little much. I just want a good game and I hope it is our first of two for this last season in the conference.

Prediction time... I'm gong to say:

Wyle E. Coyote's: 27
Road Runners: 34

I think OU will be lucky to break 20 points. Also, it’s not 2000 anymore.

Everyone is making guesses based on seeing our defense that really hasn't been tested yet. Sorry to say, Kansas was going to be our first test, but they didn't have their QB. I would be extremely hesitant to say OU wouldn't even 20 on us, much less 30-35.

Also, they beat OSU who put up a valiant effort against Alabama. It was the southern Alabama but we all know that the further south you go the better the football is.

I sure do hope you are right mchammer. If ou scores only 20 or less then the Horns win in a blowout. Sark's O will score north of 35, imo. I'm worried about ou's offense much more than I am their defense. I think this will be a shootout, Last team with the ball likely wins. I hope I'm wrong about ou's O.

Sark has averaged 48 points against OU. We have scored 40 points once this year. Not sure how our defense will play against their offense but we do come out victorious.

Texas - 41
Mucher Sux - 30

I am still not sold on this teams being a top ten team. Guess i am too pessimistic and need some of poms kool aid. OU has a great set of linebackers and I dont see Texas running against them. QE still doesnt seem able to hit the long ball consistently.I hope i am wrong.

Texas 17
OU 28

OU is an enigma to me. They played ok against top 100 teams like SMU and Cincinnati. Are they like UH late 80’s, blowing out weaker teams and then losing to teams with more talent (aggy, Ark)?

Also, Auburn HAS to be successful on field goal attempts.

If our defense has a weakness this season, it's in the secondary. Big plays are going to happen against any defense; I'd say we've given up 1-2 more than we should have so far.

We've absolutely stuffed the run this season. Not so much on the passing game, although we tend to stiffen in the red zone. If we can get some pressure on Gabriel and the secondary holds up, we win going away. If not, it's a nail-biter.

My safe pick is Texas 31, OU 24.

Not top10 after whipping the then #2 team at their place; and then soundly beating a top 20 team? Don’t understand your reasoning; but ok.
Well, Ou might win the game. But I don’t see their defense being better than Bama’s.
Ou’s LB duo is good, but our O line and tight ends are good enough to create enough space to allow Ewers, Brooks, Sanders (or Helm), Worthy (and receiver core) to score 30+.
Also, Ford is a pretty salty LB himself, who will pick an int Saturday.
I just don’t see ou holding the Horns offense to fewer points than ISU scored against ou.
ou will need turnovers to hang with our offense. And I don’t see the Horns turning it over enough to allow ou to score more points than our offense will score.
And btw, Auburn needs to make, not miss his FG’s. Three fg’s and 4 td’s will be enough for a horns victory.
