Trump tweets that he has covid 19

Darn Horn2r. You’ve had a go of it! Just got back from game so that’s why so late commenting on your post. Interesting that I am thinking of changing Docs too because of slow response but I’ll say he has been very aggressive in defensive response. Did you ever get any antibiotics?
Hang in there and hang on. I enjoy most of your posts!

Re: antibiotics. Yes , finally with my 2nd doctor.

White blood count was way low, my long time doctor originally wouldn't prescribe antibiotics because of the hitch in the heartbeat. Very long story, will pass on it. Both the physicians I saw were in the Texas Health Resources group. Had to get out of that mess.

I have an appointment with a different doctor this week, not in the THR group. Will get thoroughly checked out, starting from scratch.

Good luck to you.

My neice got it and the virus apparently knocked out her immune system for weeks (based on blood work).

I don't know of any republican besides Trump who could win during a recession, much less a plague on top of it. Of course, there could be a "sympathy vote" that might happen. Not sure.

Recessions and plagues only hurt if the public thinks they're your fault to a significant degree. A hostile media and public relations sloppiness are why the public blames Trump, but the objective case against him is actually pretty weak. We can't fix the hostile media, but we can fix the public relations sloppiness. If Trump passed away right now, Mike Pence could do that and win the election. I don't want that to happen, because I'm not a sick **** who wishes death on people (unless they've been convicted of horrific crime), but yes, it would end Biden's chances.

I don't think there's any "public relations sloppiness" to be fixed. Pence can't say a few magical words to change the minds of millions of people who listen to MSM propagnada.

I know you want to have his baby, but damn, dude. If you can't see that Trump is limited by his PR skills, I'm not sure what to tell you. We may need to do an intervention or something like that. I've done a few beer interventions before. I know the signs.

Well, I am going to England to kick your *** if you decide to waste your vote on another libertarian. We can have a beer summit afterwards.:smokin:

Trumps PR skils won him the presidency, and not in a nail biting squeezer that W Bush won, but by a convincing margin, wining states like WI MI and PA, that had not been won by a Republican in decades.

And please don't tell me anyone would have beaten Clinton. Fact is, no one else would have. I really like Cruz and he'd be a great president, but he looks and sounds exactly like a guys ex-wife's divorce lawyer. No way he wins those blue collar Midwest states. Rubio was a joke, and the whole point of Jeb!'s candidacy was to provide a designated chump for Clinton to run against and win big.

Trump is what he is, it's not going to change, no matter how much you complain about it and claim "He's stepping all over his dick!!!" At some point it becomes tiresome, especially from someone who didn't vote for him then, won't vote for him now, yet enjoys the results of his policies.

You're like a jobless suburban housewife who's husband bought her a nice SUV, and while she enjoys the ride and room, all she wants to do is ***** about how hard it is to park. Give it a break dude, it's tiresome.

DD :hookem:
This point " , especially from someone who didn't vote for him then, won't vote for him now, yet enjoys the results of his policies." applies to millions but yea it gets old.

Trump has built his fortune on PR but yeah he’s a PR disaster. I guess I want to have his baby too.

What works in the New York real estate market doesn't necessarily work in a national political setting. People want different things and different approaches based on circumstances.

If he's so great at this, why is he losing? Why has his party already lost? Why are we sweating whether or not a Supreme Court Justice is confirmed before the election? I'm all for doing it, but it's pathetic that we have to.

I'm pretty sure it did work at on a national stage, hence the word President in front of Trump.

He's "losing" in the same fixed pols that had him losing last time. Why do you trust with religious fervor polls conducted by the same leftist crowd as runs media and entertainment?

As for the SC, it's not a 100% slam dunk because of weak willed Republicans who wish to curry favor with the media, a problem that goes back as long as I can remember. And note that of the 4 new R Senators elected under Trump (from ND, MO, IN, and FL), none of those are waving. It's a squisy one from Maine who's been squishy for ever, a Senators daughter who was appointed into the seat by her dad and then is such a gift for the Democrats they vote for her, and Romeny, who's just a coward and does anything in exchange for glowing media pieces.

Besides, it's pretty rich for someone who didn't vote for Trump, and won't, and hasn't contributed to his campaign, to gravy train along and want conservative justices seated. It's like uninvited company showing up in your kitchen and worrying about when dinner is going to be ready.

It's an amazing thing these establishment Republicans can do mentally to themselves. They'll say that a candidate shouldn't run, has no chance of winning the nomination and besides they're doing it all wrong!!! Then they say the same thing for the election, and the re-election. They manage to forget all the bad advice they gave out, and think someone should listen to them for what's going to happen next.

At some point you just have to realize that you don't understand the appeal of a candidate, that they are doing everything you'd tell them not to do, and the fact that they've done quite well shows that you don't know as much as you think you do.

The media wants to use the poll lead to say Trump stole the election as millions of mail-in ballots are (legally) tossed. They are thinking of every possibility.

Not many people there. I've seen more players on a baseball diamond than this.

Where's the energy in that campaign??
There is none. 100’s of Trump supporters showed up last night at Walter Reed hospital.

Don't be a handjob, dude. You're pretty new here, but as Garmel and others would tell you, I've tried to be fair to Trump. I'm a conservative, and I'm not a NeverTrumper, even if I didn't vote for him last time. I've commended him for many things, and I've defended him when appropriate. However, there are significant liabilities incurred by attaching our party and its ideology to him, and it's foolish to ignore them.

@Mr. Deez You know I like to bust your balls whenever I can, and I know this is out of character for me, but everyone needs to be patient for the next 4 weeks. We already had 2 unexpected things happen in the last 2 weeks (RBG died and Trump sick with COVID). Yet people are already declaring the election results. Ridiculous.

If you're not sweating, then why not wait until after the election to confirm Bennett? Why rush? Why take people like Cory Gardner, Sue Collins, Thom Tillis, et al off the campaign trail to confirm a justice if there isn't significant fear that either Trump or the Senate or both will lose. Everybody is sweating, including you. You've got done ferocious swamp-taint happening.

I have faith in Mitch and Trump. People like you lose elections.

With a 3 seat majority, and lots of seats to defend, the bad decision would be to wait until after the election, regardless of what the pols were telling you now. Too risky to wait, and if either the President loses or the R's get voted out, the ability to confirm in a lame duck session is questionable.

The Republican party would have done the same thing in 2004 in the same situation, except I think they had the living corpse Bill Frist or whatever his name was, who never met an opportunity he couldn't fail to deliver on.

Plus, a 5th vote may be needed to overcome various lower court rulings that 1500 mail in ballots filled out in crayon with the same handwriting are all valid votes that should be counted. Roberts will do his usual bed wetting then vote however the Bezos Bulletin tells him to, so he'll be no help.

Yeah, no ****. That's my point.

No, your statement is there's something unique about things such that Mitch is doing this before the election, and that's Trumps fault. Despite the fact that the only reason it's going to work at all is that the Republicans picked up 2 seats in the last election, while Obama and Clinton had huge losses their first mid-year election. So don't try to say that Trump is such a drag on the party that they'd be doing wonderful without him.

Any competed majority leader would get this done before an election to lock it in.

Sweating a Supreme Court pick, by from a president you didn't / won't vote for, who you won't donate to, is gravy training of the highest order.
