Trump tweets that he has covid 19

Is there ANYONE , Deez? who thinks the Dems are not going to cheat in anyway they can?
Is it likely the outcome will got to the Supremes?
With all that isn't it good idea to get the ninth on now?
Maybe that is a reason not to wait.

If Trump is not going to win, why does the market go and up down based on his health?

No, your statement is there's something unique about things such that Mitch is doing this before the election, and that's Trumps fault. Despite the fact that the only reason it's going to work at all is that the Republicans picked up 2 seats in the last election, while Obama and Clinton had huge losses their first mid-year election. So don't try to say that Trump is such a drag on the party that they'd be doing wonderful without him.

Lots of crap here. First, I'm not saying nobody else would do what Mitch is doing. What I'm saying is that choosing to rush the confirmation is a political calculation just as not rushing it would be. A competent majority leader would weigh the political costs of both options and proceed accordingly. There is downside to rushing it, and choosing to do so suggests a fear of losing. If he didn't think there was much risk, he'd be more likely to delay it to keep Cory Gardner, Sue Collins, and Martha McSally from having to cast tough votes right before election. I'm not saying he knows defeat is certain. I'm saying he knows defeat is a very substantial risk.

Second, yes, the current position is largely Trump's doing, and yes, it's a drag at least in some areas. He sets the tone for the entire party. He is its chief spokesman on pretty much everything. If the public rejects the GOP, it is essentially rejecting Trump.

Third, the 2-seat pickup is heavily distorted by the electoral map, which wildly favored the GOP. The House elections were a much stronger indicator of that election, and they obviously went badly.

You bring up the Obama and Clinton losses. That's true. They had big losses too, and of course their Senate electoral maps were far less favorable to them. There were also some big reasons for their losses. First, neither had economic prosperity to run on. Second, both had overshot their own mandates. They tried to go harder left than the public wanted them to on policy. Third, in the case of Clinton, there was also a long term political realignment of the former Confederate states away from the Democratic Party that really caught fire at the congressional level in 1994. That's why a ton of his losses were in the South.

As for Trump, there was a roaring economy, and he hadn't really overshot on issues. There was little reason for big losses. Small losses? Sure. That's normal for off-year elections. 40-seat ***-whippings? No. But they happened anyway. Why? To not look at Trump as a major factor is absurd.

One big difference between Clinton and Obama and Trump is that they reevaluated what was working and what wasn't and changed course. It helped reelect them. Hell, Clinton completely reinvented himself. Trump has basically made no changes at all. We'll see how that pans out.

That problem could be solved with a recess appointment, which wouldn't require senators in tough reelection battles to leave their campaigns for a confirmation process. Thom Tillis and Joni Ernst (and even John Cornyn and Lindsey Graham) would definitely prefer to be campaigning than attending Judiciary Committee hearings.

Trump is back at work with a tweetstorm this am (middle class tax cut....)
He also visiting Wounded Warriors while at Walter Reed - and apparently did not take the media along, which made them mad and left to speculate/whine about his mask-wearing. These people are so pathetic

Maybe McConnell just has a very good notion that the Dems will muddy the waters with the mail in ballots, etc, and that is why he feels the 5-4 is critical since it may end up there. Not that he feels Biden will legitimately win.

It is my understanding that if there is no winner by inauguration, congress selects the POTUS. One definition though. It’s not all members of Congress, it’s each state gets one vote. As it stands now, the republicans hold 26 states and the dims hold 24. Someone please correct me if I am wrong.

Honestly that would happen with ANY President.

You are on record now saying, if Biden wins, each new day he shows up breathing, the market will rise?

Impossible, everyone knows he's going to lose (according to the polls every democrat and cuckservative worship), so why would his health matter?

It's called having 24/7 investigations, media propaganda and regardless of success midterms are just hard for a president. Deez, you need to lower your disrespectful, sanctimonious tone toward the other conservatives here. It's getting old and trust me when I say I'm not the only one who feels this way. Lighten up.

Walking out after only mild symptoms and a few days after the positive result. Heads will explode, anyway since he didn't die.

Trump, at his age and weight and lack of sleep overall should quell any notion of how serious and life threatening this virus really is. Why aren't restrictions being lifted? Well, we know why, and it's total ********.

It does kill some folks, but it's always been puzzling why most of the world decided that a disease that's dangerous to old, sick folks requires the lock up of everyone.

During the 1918 Spanish Flu, parades and things were shut down, but no one was so stupid as to try to shut down barber shops and florists.

The media was ****. That's a structural problem that has been in place since the New Deal, and it obviously makes a big difference. However, there are ways to mitigate that.

What was disrespectful or sanctimonious about that comment? I often say things that might piss some people off. It honestly never occurred to me that would be one of them.

It's not that comment that i had quoted but the calling of someone a handjob or saying that their post is crap. You do that **** constantly to others and it's annoying to no end.

Him "projecting strength" on that balcony heaving like a fresh caught bass was disturbing.
I watched and didn't see any heaving. What are you talking about? Most 74 year old people would be out of breath or not even be able to walk up those steps. He does have Covid. Is he supposed to be perfectly healed after 5 days?

What's wrong with you?

I didn't call him a handjob. I cautioned him against being one or more accurately, behaving as one. I made that point, because he's a newbie speaking out of ignorance. As for saying his post had a lot of crap in it, do keep in mind that we have a poop emoji. It's a summary method of taking issue with a large portion of his post. If it's annoying to you, that's fine, and I don't take offense to you making that criticism. I sometimes get annoyed by things people say too, and I'm sure you're not the only one that I sometimes annoy.

Good man, you picked up on the prepared leftist theme for the day. I saw it was listed as trending on Twitter, with a whopping 5000 tweets, which is about as many as you can get for not even a decent cat video.

But good man for carrying the water that a 74 four year old man who's 1. Been in the hospital for 3 days 2. Has a virus that affects the lungs 3. Walked up two flights of stairs, should be able to stand there apparently without breathing.

2 days ago, Trump was supposed to be at Deaths' own door. Now leftist are whining about how hard he breathes. Quite the disappointment for them.

And where's the theme of "Powering through"? Four years ago when Shrillary passed out in public and had to be tossed into the panel van and whisked away, all i heard when she did re-apear in public was how she was "powering through" apparently pneumonia, though that usually doesn't make people pass out in public.

If Obama or Clinton had caught the Wuhan Virus, walked themselves to the chopper to the airport, spent as much time in the hospital as an average kidney stone, Powered Through!!! and took ride to thank their supporters, then walked themselves off the chopper and up to the balcony, the media would have proclaimed it as the most impressive, dramatic, courageous, moving event in the history of man.

Instead they ***** about his heart rate. Will be nice when he wins in a month to see the tears of pain and agony roll down their face.
