Trump Administration Accomplishments

Adams's corruption charges suddenly appeared when he began complaining about the illegal invasion and how it hurt NYC.

In essence, the deep state told him to get his *** back on the plantation or else. It's the same ******** lawfare they tried against Trump and the J6ers. As scummy as Adams may be, I doubt these charges are legit.

Politics is like playing offensive line in football. There is "holding" on virtually every play. It is always there if the ref wants to call it. Politicians have almost always got some skeleton in their closet. Whether the skeleton gets exposed, depends on whether the referee wants to expose it. Adams probably did what he was accused of. Dem's overlooked it because he was on team-blue. Once he strayed, they called the flag. Now we seem to be willing to overlook corruption, because he is a useful tool for the right.

Actually, he agreed to let ICE reopen their office on Rikers Island. That protects everyone in New Your City. If he tries to interfere with ICE operations there, the case will be reopened.

This sort of thing makes DJT look like the reckless idiot the left tries to portray him as. I'm all for decreasing gov't size and scope but not thinking through this sort of thing is bad.

"Mass layoffs now paused at US nuclear weapons agency

The Department of Energy has paused the firings of hundreds of employees who work for a key agency maintaining the U.S. nuclear weapons stockpile, multiple sources tell ABC News.

Managers with the National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) are frantically calling employees back and telling them that -- as of right now -- they're not fired, despite some receiving termination emails and phone calls on Thursday. Their badges are getting turned back on and access to federal systems is being restored, at least temporarily.

Hundreds of probationary employees were terminated Thursday night in the mass Trump administration layoffs. The move prompted concerns of a national security risk because the agency is responsible for maintaining U.S. nuclear weapons, transporting them, and nuclear counterterrorism, among other missions."

I'd like to know the whole story. To me, it sounds like a soft resistance game is being played by DOE management.

Maybe, but a well-crafted and thoughtful strategy would have specifically spelled out which agencies were exempt.

This approach makes it appear as though we are playing "Jenga" with our government. That game always ends when the tower falls.

Voters will punish the GOP for years if the tower does fall.

As much as the GOP rails against government, many of them will be very surprised by how much the government is baked into things they care about.

It needs to be unbaked. There is no question about that.

But... The unbaking process is just that: a process. It can't be accomplished in a week or two without causing a lot of unintended collateral damage.
Unnamed? Have they called Charlie Strong...if anyone knows about baking...

I am not sure I understand this . But it kinda sounds like Adams got off since he will work with Trump to round up the illegals in NYC<

This is a bad thing. If Adams is helping with ICE enforcement, that's great, but it shouldn't get him off of corruption charges.

The charges also looked to be political in nature. They only popped up when Adams started bad-mouthing Biden over immigration. People have said the charges look as bad as Trump's charges against him are.

Besides, if his helping against immigration can save lives it's worth it.

I only get my lawyering edumucation from TV and movies, but aren't deals like that always made to get cooperation?

And maybe Adams is having an epiphany about the Dem party like Rod Blagojevich after having been done wrong.

By the way, you can't say Blagojevich in any voice other than Jerry Lewis. Go ahead, try.

Thanks Garm
I had forgotten that those charges against Adams didn't get levied until Adams criticized Biden and pointed out how Bidone policies were negatively impacting NYC.
Those charges were retribution and should be dropped.
Were they dropped so quickly in PDJT's new term because Adams expressed support to help ICE locate illegals? Yea probably. But it is less political than fauxly charging him in first place.

I read Adams got free tickets on Turkish airlines for a goodwill trip of some sort. Corrupt? Yes, technically but if that is all they have (or similar level of gifting), then it’s waste of resources to prosecute.

When Adams made those statements Trump said they will probably indite him.

Related because Canadians boo the national anthem at hockey games. USA was the underdog in this match. Three fights in first nine seconds.
