Trouble in Paradise?

Overnight aggy went through the 7 stages of grief very quickly as by this morning they realize if they beat Texas they are in the conference championships game. Then if the win that they are IN the playoffs.

But…..they are going to be on Goober Level 11 come Saturday. Their entire existence will be justified with a W in their sacred lands (even though they just desecrated the Tomb of Reveille this past week during ticket pull chaos). They can save their season and touch the Heavens with a win over Big Bro.

Gotta get ready. Gotta bring a complete game. All 4 quarters. All 3 phases. They will be juiced up and that stadium will be insane.

Positively & Absolutely. They will be desperate to save face.

Texas needs a full and complete game...aggy will be motivated like they saw a whole flock of virginal sheep.

It isn't the win they want for reasons rational programs would seek. It is all about what they believe that they can keep from Texas. This WILL be their Super Bowl.

If they beat Texas and then Georgia, wouldn't that put them in the CFP as SEC! champs? One would think that is the motivation, but you are likely correct.

Texas easily overmatches aggy talent wise, but those turnovers can’t happen at dead dog field especially early. Texas needs to score first and never let the crowd back in it.

Would be better for aggy to try to take something away from Texas than to gain something for themselves (since they will choke).

I saw something cute on TexAgs. Instead of “Texas A&M”, it’s now “Texas 8&4”.

In all seriousness, it does seem like we are a better team than the Aggies.

The motivation level issue is what concerns me.

What would be the best way to attack their defense early to take advantage of their Cultic frenzy and put some quick points on the board?

Both teams have the motivation of the SEC championship game looming if they win. I know our guys are up for the challenge but I still wonder if they truly get it. Aggy will hit just after the whistle. The pile-ups will be a nut-grab. The fans will be insane. They'll probably try to throw some wrinkles at us (fake punts; whatever). They will die on this hill. I just don't think it's as important to us as it is to them. Maybe I'm wrong. It's such an emotional thing for aggy. For Texas, it's a level of determination to snatch that taste of glory out of aggy's mouth. Hopefully, that will be enough when it's mano a mano.

This is their greatest game of all time. This is their revenge for the last game. They want to spoil our first SEC year and consider themselves the last line of defense to stop us.

I do not believe the officiating will be unbiased. In the back off the SEC officials minds, I doubt they want Texas in the championship the first year. So you can forget 50/50 calls.

There’s too much money, and too many TV sets involved to let the Longhorns approach near dominance.

Can we play the near perfect game on offense without the calls? Will Auburn miss a critical field goal? Can we protect the ball? Unlikely we can do all three.

Hopefully the defense turns them over…positive turnover margin practically essential

"The pile-ups will be a nut-grab."

The pileups might be ankle twisting.
