The profession attracts folks who feel oppressed.
So the obvious solution is to throw 99% of our media types into a Russian prison for a couple of years.
When I was a law student, I went to a Young Conservatives of Texas meeting in which a liberal journalism professor spoke. He readily acknowledged left wing media bias and said it's because of whom the profession attracts and what motivates them. They are people looking to "change the world." They are activists committed to various causes not the assumed values of journalism, like truth, giving facts, etc. In addition, he pointed out that while high profile journalists make good money, most in the profession do not. It's crappy money. Smart people of the Right usually don't want to do a job with bad pay.
That's how Marxists work. Destroy everything and then rebuild in their own image. And they're pretty damn good at the destruction part. The rebuilding? Not so much. The deny too much human nature to really be good at building a society.
I have read some of what Walz said through the years about communism and socialism . It is stunning to think he and so many others believe it.

Not surprised. We don't teach people that communism is bad anymore, so when they hear the talking points and propaganda, they're easily fooled. That even applies to a grown-*** man like Tim Walz.

This is great. he also needs to sanction any country that does what Brazil is doing. Again, if you act like North Korea, then you should be treated like North Korea.
The Europeans threatening Musk shouldn't be tolerated either.
I've never seen the West so threatened by free speech. The modern left is just nuts.
The entire "we need to protect people from 'hate' and/or 'misinformation'" crowd are nefarious actors and dangerous, because of how much power they hold. And they are almost universally of the left.

I think Biden said he liked tacos from young Hispanic women.
