The Media Industry

Don Lemon has always been a committed irrational Leftist. What he was in the past was Leftism at the time, but it was never good just not as far down the road of depravity.

Mona
But that clip of his was definitely Not leftist

That clip was common sense. But I doubt the full extent of his views were that way. Some leftists probably still say similar things to one another. They just don't say it publicly so they can cancel non-leftists who say those things.

There's truth to this, but I think there has been a real shift in the last ten years. I think when Trump got elected, many liberal-leaning people just went apeshit, especially in the media. I think it became so morally mandatory in their political and social circles to be against anything associated with the Right that they felt the need to ditch any kind of cultural concession or moderation, even if it was the most obvious thing.

Consider the gender ideology debates we have. Ten years ago, we weren't crazy enough to argue over stupid **** like that. It isn't because no one thought that way. It was because mainstream liberals knew how stupid it was, but once Trump got elected, they just went off into outer space.

Russell Brand gets slightly red-pulled and the left media loses its mind:

I'm thinking this article proves liberal media bias instead of debunking it....

The myth of "liberal" news: How the media does the work of fascists (msn.com)

"The first word is "hard-right". Immediately the Times positions the Republicans as being on a reasonable continuum of political ideology (opposite of "liberals" and the non-existent "hard left" in Congress) instead of as being neofascists, insurrectionists, and supporters of Trump's coup plot."

One point he makes that is true is that the Times promotes the "elite" position. I wouldn't disagree with that, but he says that is a right wing position. And that's lunacy.

It's amazing how the media and the Never Trumpers will do the bidding of the "Threat to Democracy" during the GOP primary. They just massively want him to be the nominee.

Will we see any bills coming through Congress to prevent Trannys from getting their hands on "assault weapons"? A tranny ban sounds like good, solid legislation to me.

The national media has inundated Nashville with misgender and false second amendment claims over this mass murderer. Also blamed recent state legislation to protect kids from body mutilation and drag shows in front of children.

This occurred directly across the street from my daughter’s residence. At first, it was reported as an active shooter before anyone knew what actually happened. I immediately called her. She was home with the doors locked and armed with her pistol. Very scary, but proud of her.

The shooter had two targets identified, but declined the mall location due to too much security. The heroic police officers quickly neutralized the shooter.

But once again, the media and the ice cream eating potus blamed the second amendment and his press Secretary blamed republicans. The answer is securing schools property with physical security and with armed guards. It might not totally stop it, but I guarantee it will substantially reduce these events.

More like the media doesn't want to put transgender and murder in the same context.
And they don't want to look at the mind-altering side effect of doping females with testosterone that may not even be under a doctors care.

In various threads that gave rise to ROGD, there would be links to pharmacies that would fill without a valid prescription. Just email that you were a female twanz and within the next week or two, your vials of testosterone showed up at your doorstep.

The same Press Secretary who, by the way, was allegedly let go without arrest following an accident where she showed several clue of intoxication.

In this case, it also would have helped if we hadn't pretended a clearly mentally ill woman wasn't mentally ill and wasn't a woman. Not to sympathize with a shooter, but in a way, society failed her. Fifty years ago, she would probably have been deemed mentally ill and may have been committed (or submitted to care voluntarily) and gotten the treatment she needed. Instead, she had a big cultural, political, and medical regime cheering on her delusion and learned to hate those that she associated with the truth.

It’s my understanding Reagan pushed the end of forced admission into mental hospitals. I’m too lazy to research it, but I do think the pendulum moved too far from preventing potentially sane people from forced hospitalization to so many mentally ill people in public. The homeless population is largely filled with mentally ill which is also a major problem across the country.

My ex mother in law was certainly mentally ill, but could fake her way through court proceedings. Thankfully she was not violent, but ended up dying homeless. There was nothing we could do for her as she refused any medical help and we could not get a court to legally do anything either. Their hands were tied.

I hope you don't mind me stealing this for another forum. You will of course be given full credit. :)

Not aware of Reagan doing much either way. It was a gradual transition that started in the '50s and '60s. People saw abuses in mental institutions, and I'm sure that costs played a factor in it. As healthcare costs started exploding, mental institutions would have gotten more expensive as well. Then in the late '70s, the Supreme Court started to put limits on involuntary commitment by limiting what kinds of disorders could justify commitment and making the burden higher. But we haven't really saved anybody or saved any money. We've just seen homeless shelters and prisons take on the role that institutions used to take on. They just don't do anything to help the person.

When I had my bar it wasn't that far from the local MHMR. It's fun dealing with people who are bipolar and suffering from schizophrenia. I have lots of funny stories but this one time I had this woman come in and tell me that my dad was Rich Little and I was hiding that fact from everyone.

I would have said, "I know he's my dad. Don't tell anybody though, because my mom wasn't his wife."

I read that she got all guns legally even though she had been under a doc's care for emotional issues. Her parents thought she had gotten rid of the guns.
There is nothing anyone can do if the person does not want help

mb made an important point, The effects of testosterone on ftm trans.
Instead of pretending someone really can change their sex through dangerous drugs and body mutilating surgery maybe we should learn more about what is going on in the head.
