Oh please. He was backed into a corner from the day he kowtowed to Anne Coulter after she criticized Pence's negotiated funding bill that passed the Senate in December. He had $2B+ for border security then.

He opened the government not because he cared about federal workers but because the situation was about to get unbearably bad as evidenced by Laguardia grounding planes due to not enough air traffic controllers today and 14,000 IRS employees not showing up to work. As federal employees missed paycheck #2 **** was going to get real quickly and everyone but his supporters remembers Trump proudly proclaiming credit for the shutdown. We have video proof although some would likeley try to c as ll it "fakenews". In the end, a winnowing minority feel the wall is worth the shutdown. Trump will call a bogus National Emergency in 3 weeks to save face to his base.

I hope he doesn't call a national emergency. I don't see it. But it is a broken system. We are all used to living with illegal aliens tramping through ranch land down here in South Texas. If anyone thinks border security is working then they must work for Pelosi. Is it an emergency? To some people it is as I know for a fact that my friends walk around their ranch land armed and not just for deer and wild pigs. They are worried about their lives.

I don't just believe that; that's a fact.

You can say, then sell your land if you don't like it but that's not an immigration policy that is enforces zero tolerance for ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION.

I have a friend with a generations old ranch on the border. The trash filth and destruction has increased and the land is not close enough to a station.
These illegals kill the cattle and then leave most of the carcass.
The owners no longer stay at the ranch at night.

Look, it's obvious. The far left hates Republicans and will say and do whatever it takes to disparage them. They will destroy anyone who stands in their way. They will never give credit where credit is due and will pretend that their cause is so noble that inerrancy on the part of their leaders is not to be expected or required. Hypocrisy is a game and even if they are caught red-handed as they were this past week with the allegations that Trump instructed his attorney to lie and that those MAGA hat wearing white kids surrounded the Native American activist, they will continue to lie about it or quickly abandon it and surge forward with new media battle fronts. It's that obvious to me.

Yeah... there is no negotiation with these people. Where is the embarrassment and introspection concerning the knee-jerk hysteria of last week? There is none. They don't care if those white kids are now being threatened. They figure they deserve it anyway because they hate them that much. It's like a policeman pulling over someone driving the speed limit in a red corvette and writing them a ticket just because he knows they are going to speed at some point. They are sick and they will never be rehabilitated. Their entire self-image is at stake and that is proof of how weak-minded they are. Their emotional imbalance is being normalized. We are to indulge OCD behavior and in fact, treat it as the rational response to the human condition.

You could argue it ended well for all three. Certainly Chile which has and has had for some time now the highest per capita GDP in all of South America. And I personally know Spaniards (they are pretty old now) who miss the order, stability and safety Franco provided.
