Texas-WVU Game Thread

With that last TD, Sam is now 3rd All-Time for Texas Career Total TDs

Colt McCoy 132
Vince Young 81
Sam Ehlinger 74
Ricky Williams 73
Chris Simms 68
Cedric Benson 64

So I always like people posting this because it's cool to see Sam moving up, but allsome to see Colt WAYYYYY up there. lol

Yeah cause Hurts hasn't been in any big games against talented teams ever. :confused2:
The Texas Gameday Final crew was making the point that the big games he has played in are nothing like the game at The Cotton Bowl. 3 former Texas players, 2 played in NCs, one played in Super Bowls, said this.

I'm neither agreeing nor disagreeing, just pointing this out.

I love my guys and Lincoln Riley hates puppies, but SEC Championship games are comparable.

Those are big, but maybe they don't buy the SEC hype. The main point is this season his and ou's level of competition compared to Texas' has been questionable. What he has done in previous seasons on a different team are immaterial.

Most most people in Jameson's situation as the ball was coming down would have thought man I better prepare myself for the tackle I better put myself in the position of making the tackle. But not Jamison, he thought to himself "this ball is mine" so he made it happen. That play tells us he's a baller.

Who was talking about last year’s Texas ou game? This all started by questioning who ou has played this year so far. How do we know how good they are? That’s what the discussion was about.

I don't feel good about this upcoming game. I think Vegas has it just about right
I feel fine. Just have to score and score a bunch. Last year when they scored on that 1st possession on that easy RPO we all thought, we're screwed. 3 quarters later we're up 21. Without a couple of stupid holds on our 2 drives OU never has a chance. Their D was cooked and we let them get off the mat with stupid penalties. This year get ahead and keep our foot on their throat.

Colt was so good
We easily could have and probably should have has another NC with him
(maybe even two)
Colt was so good. The injury in the NC was obviously, well....
But what made it worse was the ignorance -or ignoring- the caliber of player he was and how powerful of a force he was for our teams and in general in CFB. There wasn't enough acknowledgment during the broadcast of the NC after he went out (and post-game coverage) and it was pretty much symbolic/indicative of the national treatment he received in general.

No problem. When Texas plays OU again in the CCG and Texas and OU are both 11–1, OU will be Top 5 for sure and Texas likely top ten. /sarc
You know OU has to be in the top 4 by season end so that Hurts can play against Alabama with his new Heisman
