Texas-WVU Game Thread

Auburn is going down today, sadly for my picks

But it also might mean both ou and Texas will be top 10 going into that game for the first time since 2008 (when both were top 5).
I am not so sure Joe. Likely Florida and Auburn just switch positions.

I think we held back a lot. We ran the ball and played good D. Sam ran well but the passing game was conservative and maybe a little rusty.

With that last TD, Sam is now 3rd All-Time for Texas Career Total TDs

Colt McCoy 132
Vince Young 81
Sam Ehlinger 74
Ricky Williams 73
Chris Simms 68
Cedric Benson 64

Worst offensive game of the year. Just being real. Not sure I understand why...
No CJ. Eagles didn’t step up when defense focused on Duvernay. Ingram didn’t run well. Sam was off on at least 2 balls that were sure 1st downs.

After one big outing against OKST, Ingram returns to meh. Why RoJo is not #1 on the RB depth chart I cannot figure out. Avg YPC: Ingram 1.6, Johnson 5.8. Change my mind.

Can’t say that I’m super optimistic about next week although Herman will have them ready and we play to the level of the competition.

Our running game is a big disappointment. No defense will scheme for us, which puts more pressure on Sam. But I do like our OL.

On D, we have to find a way to pressure Hurts. If we don’t it could be a long afternoon.

Let’s hope that the team was looking ahead today...

Either we are playing possum or OU is going to beat us like a drum. Our defense is not ready for the RBs they will see vs OU and they really aren't ready for Hurts. Our injuries are not the biggest problem.......Our tackling is BAD. Why we duck our heads all the time is baffling... You are supposed to teach "SEE WHAT YOU ARE HITTING" !!!! All our players see is the ground. Our offense will need to score at least 45 to win, and they will have to do it without 4 freaking turnovers, because Hurts will not throw it away to us. My hope is that OU is not as good as their stats.

I believe RoJo should get the nod to start.

The D coming up with 4 picks was excellent!
The busted play the O turned into a TD was a relief. The lateral back to the center for a TD was a great surprise. It’s a good road win.

Always the optimist .

To clarify, Cosmi is a tackle. That play is referred to as "tackle eligible". You have to inform the refs before the play that your tackle is an eligible receiver. You cannot throw to the center.

Horns win even with Ehlinger having his worst outing of the year. Game the Horns could have lost but they did what it took to get out of Morgantown with a win.:hookem:

It was a backward pass, a lateral. No special rule about who can take a rugby lateral.
