No, Cosmi was covered, so not eligible. Informing the Referees of eligible tackles is a NFL rule only. Center could have received a lateral also.To clarify, Cosmi is a tackle. That play is referred to as "tackle eligible". You have to inform the refs before the play that your tackle is an eligible receiver. You cannot throw to the center.
Defense was great usually. WVU chose to pick on the secondary and they responded with 4 interceptions, which is not trivial.Horns win even with Ehlinger having his worst outing of the year. Game the Horns could have lost but they did what it took to get out of Morgantown with a win.![]()
Lateral was to LT.I believe RoJo should get the nod to start.
The D coming up with 4 picks was excellent!
The busted play the O turned into a TD was a relief. The lateral back to the center for a TD was a great surprise. It’s a good road win.
Their stats are padded by the mediocre level of competition they've played so far. No doubt their offense is very good, and the Texas defense will have to come up with a terrific effort to hold Zero U in check. And the Texas offense will have to score a bunch - which they should against the ou defense, which is better than last year, but still not very good.My hope is that OU is not as good as their stats.
It was a backward pass, a lateral. No special rule about who can take a rugby lateral.
He is faster than Eagles. Maybe the answer for deep routes against their single coverage.
I don't know if anyone has said this yet but that was not a forward pass, it was a lateral. I saw that as the ball was in the àir. That is why he was eligible. I am watching the recording because I had to work today. On the Cosmi score, how was he eligible?
Not saying that I disagree, but I think We should Tap the breaks on Hurts a bit until he plays a quality team.A win is a win is a win...
And those four interceptions were all very athletic plays. Every one. The plays by Foster and especially Jamison were off the charts. It should give the D a nice boost and more confidence going into OU.
But,
We have to remember that the WVA QB we were facing was not Burrow or Hurts. Most of those four ints should not have been possible but for poor or ill-advised throws. That fact doesn’t diminish the brilliant plays made. However, unless we can pressure Hurts, I’m not sure that such opportunities will be available to us next week.
Man do I hope you’re right. I thought that before the season but Hurts seems to have blossomed under Riley. But it is true that OU has played nobody yet. That said, why is it that they always seem to steamroll teams like WVA and often OSU, and we struggle to win those games? Not saying that I disagree, but I think We should Tap the breaks on Hurts a bit until he plays a quality team.

Because for some reason, even though ou wins the conference every year and gets to the CFP last year and is a despicable bunch of thieves, teams get up to beat Texas more than ou.Man do I hope you’re right. I’ll bet WVU won’t have special T-shirts made up when they play ANYBODY else.Because for some reason, even though ou wins the conference every year and gets to the CFP last year and is a despicable bunch of thieves, teams get up to beat Texas more than ou.
Because we are their rival. In OU, they see themselves likely getting steamrolled. PsychologyMan do I hope you’re right. It is funny how we say frequently their defense is awful and then we struggle to run the ball. Hope we’re right this year and Rojo and whomever (still want to see some KJ) run wild.
