Rowe with a single to third! Once again, Texas puts the lead-off, game-winning runner on base. Can the Longhorns capitalize? Etier up with Walla and Loy on deck.
Etier does his job, advancing Rowe to second with a sacrifice bunt back to the pitcher. Winning run is in scoring position with one out and Koala up to bat.
Four straight balls (GameTracker indicates they were intentional) give Walla a free pass to first. Tying run is now aboard with one out. Loy (1-for-4 on the evening) up to bat and Shepherd (0-for-3) on deck. Bears are obviously thinking double-play ball here.
On that note, pitching change for Baylor as closer Brooks Pinckard comes on in relief of Turley. Pinckard boasts a 1-2 record, nine saves, and a 1.27 ERA.
Loy swings and misses at the first pitch. Strike one. Pinckard's next two offerings miss the plate, but the count is quickly evened at 2-2. Loy lifts the next pitch to shallow right for out No.2. Runners stay put. Shepherd up to win this.
Tant falls behind in the count, 1-2. After a ball, Shepherd--what else?--strikes out. Once again, Baylor gets away with putting the leadoff runner aboard and having him advance to second with one out.
Hoby Milner on for Chance Ruffin in the top of the 11th.
Milner makes quick work of his opponents, inducing a groundout, notching a strikeout and getting an infield popup. That's the first inning in some time that Texas has sat the Bears down, 1-2-3.
Unless Tant comes through with his first hit of the game, this'll be the third-straight 1-2-3 inning for the Longhorns.
Shepherd singles! One on, two out, with C-Rupp up.
Cam manages to run the count full. He fouls off the next two pitches and then draws a walk. Game-winning run is now in scoring position with Moldenhauer up.
It's all for naught, however, as Moldy strikes out ... looking.
Honestly, I don't know how Augie can tolerate that, especially with a runner in scoring position and the game in extra innings.
