Texas State game

and Schuessler comes through again after getting down 0-2, hits a single between the SS and 3rd baseman. 1 out. Belyeu up.

Not sure what happened there, catcher was waving his glove during the wind up and umpire calls it a balk.

Belyeu battled hard to a full count, fouling off several, and he lines a ball to the right center field for a TRIPLE!! :yippee::bounce1:

Run scores!! 8-6 now. Belyeu has wheels and why he's such an asset in RF not to mention his arm. That was a heck of an at bat, he battled from a 1-2 count if i remember right and fouled off several along the way.

and Borba walks, runners on the corners with 1 out, Sanders was due up but may be pinch hit for.....Geez, O'Dowd getting to pinch hit for Sanders.

I don't understand it, it could work out but it's not the call i would have made. Mound visit, and looks like it may be a pitching change.

Maybe this is the at bat O'Dowd finally breaks through and he starts a hitting streak that gets his avg. to .300.

and he hits a three run homer!!!:yippee::bounce1::bounce2:

(as soon as i hit send on that last message, O'Dowd hit the bomb)

Texas ahead now, 9-8

Whew.....dang what a battle. Congratulations Captain!! Now keep it up.....but the game isn't over. we still have to pitch and play defense. Kennedy up.

Thomas is up and this boy has been struggling this weekend, that should tell you how good the pitching has been.

And Thomas strikes out again but not before Texas takes the lead. On to the 8th.

Grubbs starts off the inning ahead 0-2. and I wish we would learn how to keep our pitches out of the dirt, batter hits a perfectly placed ground ball up the middle JUST out of the reach of both Kennedy and Flores. 1 on, no outs.

and now Grubbs is behind 2-0 with the next hitter......ugh but hitter puts down a bunt and moves the runner over to second. 1 out. Tex St is at least playing to push this tying run across the plate.

and a base hit to the outfield, tying run comes home. These guys are too good for the entire group collectively to be working from behind so often. it does not pay.

Well, the wheels have fell off, Grubbs induced a routine DP ground ball and Kennedy bobbles it and then makes an errant throw and both runners are safe. 2 on, 1 out.
