Bad things happen when you work from behind, with a 2-1 count, hitter hits to the warning track in front of the crawford boxes.
 
fly out to deep right field, Belyeu catches it at the warning track. Gage was down 2-0 on the batter before inducing the fly out. on to the bottom of the 5th.
 
This pitcher is throwing a pitch very similar to what Holman threw last night, it starts inside and ends outside the strike zone, Schuessler goes down swinging on a ball he probably couldn't reach.
 
Belyeu up. Both Brown and Belyeu have missed a fast ball. Didn't think he would throw him another but he did and Belyeu blasts that ball up to the second deck in RF. 7-5 Tx St. :bounce1::yippee:
 
Borba up and lined the ball down the left field line for a double but announcers seem to think it was foul. watching the review the ref is right on top of where the ball was, this should not be overturned, the official is so close it almost hits the official, he saw it very well.
 
The play was only a few feet from the official. This should stand and he makes the fair call. it looks like it hit off the glove before going out of bounds and looks like it may stand.

Borba on 2nd, 2 outs, Sanders up to bat and he hasn't exactly been tearing up, in fact, this is another one of those decision I don't know why it takes so long to make by Pierce.
 
and Sanders strikes out. Not sure why Cummings hasn't got as many opportunities as Sanders and others that have struggled. We shouldn't be developing players until we have the game in hand, not putting in players and sacrificing a win to do it.
 
mound visit by Schuessler and 1st pitch after that visit was a nasty slider for a strike. then he throws the ball in the dirt, runner advances to 2nd, no throw. still 2 outs.
 
and he hangs a slider, didn't have as much movement and batter hits a liner up the middle to score a run. :brickwall:.

So two consecutive pitching errors cost us another run.

Gage works ahead of the next batter, going 0-2 quickly. a ball, a foul on a great pitch by Gage and then gets a swinging strike on a great pitch that he's gone to before that starts out on the outside of the plate and ends up inside, batter swings over the top of it for out #3.

To the bottom of the 6th but not after making two errors by the pitcher to allow another runner to get in to scoring position and then a base hit brings him in. down 8-5.
 
Flores hits a swinging bunt for out number 3. End of the 6th. only 9 outs left, can't afford to make any more errors on the mound.
