Runner was out by the throw before the foot got there. Does that matter?

I don't think anyone is arguing the call. The issue is a foot being stepped on.

If you're a first baseman and you put and leave your foot on top of the bag, expect to get stepped on.

Who started it? If our assistant bitched first about her being stepped on, then he is WRONG!

If the Aggie assistant bitched about his runner being tripped, then there is a cure for that and they executed it, but tripping protest is TFA - typical ******* Aggie.

As I saw it, first baseman had her foot on the home plate side of the base instead of the second base side. That left her open to getting stepped on. Unless the runner made a conscious effort to cleat the first base player I did not see a reason to protest. The runner has the right to the base.

Looked at Kennedy’s pitching record and she pitches entire series including the last couple they lost. So expect her to be on the mound tonight. Still can’t view it here in Europe so will have to check on the score around 1:00am. Of course if we lose then will probably be tossing and turning thinking about it the rest of the night.
