Texas' NCAA 2024 Tournament

The pressure of playing in their home state must’ve been too much for okie lite.

I’m afraid the strain was more than they could bear.

My biggest unknown is who has the best chance of knocking out OU so they can't get to the finals? I forgot/didn't realize that there was bracket crossover. i.e. loser of each game today crosses over to the other bracket. So, that means that Texas has a 50% of meeting OU before the finals and we would be the contender to give OU a loss before final. And vice versa they have a chance to give us a loss and/or knock us out completely before we could reach the finals. That's what I was hoping OK-Lite would do for us.

Man, they choked this year.

If a Magic Genie could only grant one wish, which one would you choose:

1. Lose to OU in the finals
OR
2. Lose to someone in the WCWS with the guarantee that OU doesn't make the finals

It kinda makes me throw up thinking of OU making it 4 in a row.

UCLA doesn’t have a clue on how to find good and hit pitches from this OU pitcher. Take the good ones and blow up in the junk. Swinging at low out of the zone.

Pitcher transferred from OkSt, which reportedly p-o their coach and team. She has a Texas flag on her glove - she's from Friendswood. Weird karma floating around her. She beat us twice, we beat her once.

I watched the last two at-bats for UCLA and those were some desperation/hero swings they were going for. Hate those smug looks on OU's faces.

Today was probably the best chance of that happening. UCLA did not play a good game today. OU was very beatable but UCLA couldn't make any good contact.

I agree the thought of a 4-peat is horrendous. But in all 4 occasions they were the better team. By a lot. I never want to lose, but if I am going to lose, if it is to a better team, I can take it a little better.

And the thought of a trophy presentation with a stadium packed with crimson and burnt orange chanting S-E C S-E-C S-E-C U LATER! Would make it much more palatable.

But I'm a vindictive dick, so that could explain that. With these two flagship schools propping up the Big 8/SWC Welfare Queens for a century, I think I would have to go with option 1,

How about we just beat their asses ourselves and stop hoping for someone else to carry our water? If you want to be the best, you gotta beat the best.

As much as I am glad the aggies are gone, I could not help but wonder what their power hitters would have done to zero u.

We already have and will again. The only team remaining we haven't beaten twice is Bama who we haven't faced. We run ruled UCLA 15-0 earlier in the year. Just play our ball and we'll be fine. If we get back to 3 errors every game we won't. Simple!

Orange...wasn't hoping for anything. Simply making a statement about their game. :bevo:

Let’s run rule the Gators … give them something to look forward to in the SECSEC.
:yippee:

Ump is wearing a mic? Wish we had had that in super regional - enjoying hearing the calls.
