Definitely easy to remember those lyrics! My favorite song:
Pooooooooor aaaaaaggyyyyyyys,
Pooooooooor aaaaaaggyyyyyyys...
Ags constantly talking about us crying. Had to post it.
So did I.Cat looked really worried many times
Ags constantly talking about us crying. Had to post it.
I agree.I don't think that last pitch was intentional. I think Kennedy was tired.
Nothing like aggy tears for a nightcap or for a morning aperitif. If you don't want to feel like that, don't compete for aggy. The formula is simple.
Those coaches had their aggettes playing like their hair was on fire for 3 games. They got maximum intensity out of a senior laden bunch. They got lucky breaks and capitalized on them. They got monster home runs from unlikely sources. They got everything a team needs to win and win big - and they still lost to Daddy Texas because that's. what. aggy. does.
This series was a wonderful illustration of aggy's entire athletic history. Their school motto should be "We tried really hard."
Only problem: they are VERY intoxicating & even more addictive.Nothing like aggy tears for a nightcap or for a morning aperitif.
Agree on Atwood. Aggy wasn’t going to let her beat them and planned on pitching her inside. She was plunked too many times which made it appear at times to be intentional. This morning I felt exhausted, happy, relieved and so joyful. After the Horns roller coaster win. It reminded me of the days of my daughter's travel ball team coming out of the loser's bracket starting at 8am on a Sunday morning. Then being at the ball park all day long. Then finally, making it to the championship game... No one else is there but the last two teams at 8pm. Hook'em Horns!
BTW... I read a few comments about Atwood getting hit --> It was good to see Kennedy give Atwood a congratulatory hug when they were shaking hands at the end of the game. I don't think that last pitch was intentional. I think Kennedy was tired.
Watch it again. Looked more like Reece initiated that embrace. Maybe if it were the only time she was hit, but it wasn't. I could be wrong. This morning I felt exhausted, happy, relieved and so joyful. After the Horns roller coaster win. It reminded me of the days of my daughter's travel ball team coming out of the loser's bracket starting at 8am on a Sunday morning. Then being at the ball park all day long. Aggies do NOT have "two NCAA world series appearances" Both of those were that old women's organization; the one where SFA & La Tech were basketball power houses. Not many HS had softball teams back then.
I presume this was because of the nauseous announcers asking for this to be played as often as possible. Gee, you mean like in the same conference? Almost had to mute the sound to be able to enjoy the game.Pretty sure we will play a series against a&m next year.
Announcers mentioned in Game 2 and 3 that there was no Public Address announcer in the stadium. I understood that to mean there was no UT sports info person who could find out what umps were discussing or relay info to the ESPN announcers? Odd.The ump appeared to warn the a&m dugout but the announcers were lost and all over the place with their commentary. Pitch was so blatant yet they were talking about pitching tough inside.
Amanda Scarborough was an All American at TAM, but I think she does a good job keeping her aggie-ness hidden when she’s calling Texas games. The male announcer is too young to have any first hand knowledge of the old rivalries - I liked his excitement about both teams. Assume we will play a series because softball plays so many games. But we don’t play every SEC school in football or, IIRC, basketball.I presume this was because of the nauseous announcers asking for this to be played as often as possible. Gee, you mean like in the same conference? Almost had to mute the sound to be able to enjoy the game.
Don’t know - don’t recall seeing them. They mentioned the heat several times … it’s possible that ESPN thought Texas would cruise in 2 games, so didn’t budget for in-person announcers.UTSU,
Are we even sure the announcers were in McCombs, or were they in some remote studio?
And if I were a gambling man, I’d bet the farm it will be at their place.Pretty sure we will play a series against a&m next year.
And that was one of the best things about the game. I hate coaches that over-work their pitchers and risk injury. The other pitchers gave up 3 runs in 5 innings, Kennedy comes in and gives up 3 in 1 inning. Ford deserved what she got. This morning I felt exhausted, happy, relieved and so joyful. After the Horns roller coaster win. It reminded me of the days of my daughter's travel ball team coming out of the loser's bracket starting at 8am on a Sunday morning.
