Texas High School Football

I found the game and tomorrow's games on Bally Sports Southwest Extra on Spectrum here in North Texas. Ch. 320. Not the regular Bally Sports who were showing the Mavs game. Can't help with the other providers, sorry.

It's the old Fox Southwest, now Bally's. Both my kids have ATT. I thought it was in that series close to LHN, but am probably wrong.

Watching Refugio/Hawley:

1) Refugio is really young. Their RB is 5'4". While I've seen Refugio in previous years. I really don't remember so many offensive formations.

2) Love the aggressiveness of the Hawley defense. Watching and longing for the days of Leon's 1979 & 1983 defenses

Hawley 34 Refugio 13 at the half

I watched the Franklin-Bronc game last night on ATT U-Verse. It was channel 1757 or something close to that.
The team isn't called Bronc but I can't remember. Franklin won on last second FG 17-14. I think it was 3-A.

There's more games today, beginning at 11 AM.

0855,

Tonight's game may set a new attendance record. Some reports are thinking close to 60,000. Most of South Dallas will show up, and a fleet of buses left The Reservation at 715 this morning. Either way, it should be a good game. SOC with D-1 talent, and PNG with no D-1 offers but Jeff Joseph in his first HC job. Acorn didn't fall far from the tree. Thanks, Todd.

Carthage 21 Wimberly 0 end of first quarter

UIL should just give Surratt a permanent Championship trophy and make Carthage move to the Lone Star or Sun Belt conference.

China Spring came back from being down 21-0 to win 24-21, their 2nd straight championship. Def MVP is a kid named Tristan Exline. His older brother was on last year's team. Their dad John is an asst coach. They lost mom a couple of years ago. I am really happy for this family.
