St. Johns vs. Horns

Top of the 7th.

Hudson Hamilton in to pitch for us.

A fiesty strikeout pitcher. His spin rates on his slider and curve already significantly exceed the average spin rates for MLB pitchers. Nasty drops on his breaking pitches. Comparible to Tumis (although Tumis's stuff seems to defy the laws of physics, moving in unnatural ways at times).

Hamilton also throws a fastball well into the 90s.

holy mackeral, this umpire has lost his marbles, that ball was above the hitters head and he called it a strike.

I mean, the pitch was high and it was dropping rapidly but it sure looked high and the hitter just looked over at his coach with amazement. i think he was still stunned when the next pitch was thrown.

Good piece of hitting there by Belyeu, good curve ball and Belyeu waits on it and then pulls it down the line for a lead off double.

Dang, and Schuessler hits a laser right above the SS and he snags it, no fault of his there, he nailed it, just didn't fall for him. Schuessler needs to get in the lineup this weekend, he's batting better than Borba is and I like Borba but Shooosler is consistent.

would like to see coach pull the trigger on Brown and move him down, put Schuessler in the 4 hole. Would make a big difference.

Schussler is one of our best hitters thus far this year. During weekend series, in the games that Galvan catches, Shuessler should be our DH..

Uh oh,
Castelluccio is getting the hook
Hit the showers (but I just can't call a guy named after a place like the superbly beautiful plains of Castelluccio, Italy a "filthy bum")
Enter Chuck Sanzio to pitch for the Redmen, a Sr. from New Jersey

When I go to Italy, I'm actually going to visit that place. Wow!

We may have ourselves the sort of batting lineup that LSU has fielded in recent years.

Put that together with All-American LBJ, and apparently competent starting pitchers Charlie Hurley and Howard, and finally a good bullpen, and we could go really, really far.
