St. Johns vs. Horns

His sliders are very effective though, great pitch right there to give the defense an easy double play.
Yeah, Tole's sliders are really good. Maybe he could mix it with change-ups with some movement or something. His fastballs often get hit. Or a splitter, 2-seamer - cutter, something but a straight up 4 seam fastball right down Broadway. Every pitch he throws needs to have some real movement.

Agreed, i know Pierce is a much better pitching coach then myself but i would look at how he's holding the fast ball, and make sure it's a two seam, four seams tend to stay true and flat.

Yeah, I'm no Pierce. I'm a fan. Sometimes, when I'm watching baseball, I can't even tell if the pitch is a curveball or a slider.

You know i was happy that Swindell and Moreland both said the same thing the other day, I can't tell them apart some times either and they both said the same thing.

I think Tole and Charlie Hurley are fairly comparable. Use fastballs sparingly, rely on their breaking stuff. Generations ago, they might be called trash-ballers, but there's nothing wrong with that. Breaking balls get outs just like 98 mph fastballs.

That makes me feel better. When I don't know, which is often, I'll just call it a breaking ball or a breaking pitch--they're all that except the fastball.

Flores strikes out.

Brown -- strikes out...

Marinara is putting some sauce on the meatballs.

We get Kennedy for 4 years, second base is going to be locked down for 3 more with a great player. Wondering if Flores comes back next year, if not, Borba to SS? Guess Borba could go to 3rd if Flores returns. Moot point but how my mind works, i'm all over the place. lol

Check this out. Castelluccio is now on the mound for St Johns. Here's a photo of Castelluccio, Italy. This is incredible.

"Just on the border between Umbria and Marche, in front of one of the most extraordinary sights in Italy lies the enchanting Plains of Castelluccio di Norcia. Every year, between the end of May and mid-July, the plateau of this small and charming town, located on the slopes of Mount Carrier at an altitude of 1450 meters within the Sibillini Mountains National Park, is covered with a colorful mantle that leaves you breathless. An explosion of colors that comes to life with the spontaneous blossoming of a myriad of poppies, cornflowers, violets, daisies, daffodils and lentils. The flowering of each of these beautiful wild flowers, combined with that of the cultivated fields help to continuously change the colorful landscape throughout the year."

TCU taking care of business against WSU tonight, top of 9th up 7-3. formidable team this year. I'm thinking about going to see them tomorrow. Haven't been to the TCU stadium yet.
