Worster,
Remembering Austin in the days when most of us had little to no money or had squandered the monthly allowance mom and dad sent. The days of the girl I was dating picking me up and taking me to Dirty's or that horrible burger place on Lamar between 34th & 45th; writing a hot check for the extra grease platter at The Plantation on 19th; MooreBurger, have been replaced with Sushi, Vegan, overpriced "fancy" dinners with 200 of your favorite fake friends.
You could always get your parents a room at the Chariot Inn because it was sooo far out of town, but now is "crack central". People in Austin thought if they lived farther than 4-5 miles from work their life had ended.
Progress can be wonderful, but our Austin has faded like my old Gant oxford cloths.
