Tumis was getting a lot of swings and misses. His control looked only so-so. Also, he’d leave a ball hanging up in the zone when he had 2 strikes and was ahead in the count. Coaching and experience will help his pitching smarts.
But you just can’t coach the kind of rpms Tumis must spin those breaking pitches to make them move like that.
