Riots in Minneapolis

Seems like most of the police killings that have rattled the nation the last few years have involved men with extensive criminal records. I'd guess that's why, instead of putting their hands up and cooperating, they resist. They don't wanna go back to prison.
And, there's no other way to put this. They are too stupid to realize that resisting never works. No matter the race of the person.

Seriously, I wonder if there is a documented case where resisting led to a cop letting the person go, or the person ran and was never seen from again. Maybe it has happened, but the odds don't seem good.

Understandable not wanting to go back to prison. Not understandable committing crimes again that lead to...going back to prison. Now, had this guy cooperated and allowed himself to be handcuffed, he would likely go back to prison. Had he not been shot dead, his charges and prison time go exponentially up by fighting and resisting. Ut just seems like a lose/lose.

 Hershel Walker is offering to send snyone wanting to defund police to a country without police,
Hershel says he wants people who want to get rid of police to be happy so he will make a deal with airlines to fly those people to a country without police like ours.

Simply quoting statistics is often enough to get you canceled these days.
Nonetheless, at the risk of cancellation, the statistics are clear that whenever a black American gets shot, the odds are extremely high that it was by another black person

What BS by the Equity company.
"As she transitioned to a leave of absence " they discovered she violated company policy???
What does that mean?

Hillary Clinton better watch out. The Minnesota Twins are tearing down the statue of Calvin Griffith. He's the owner who moved the team from Washington, DC to Minneapolis. (They were the original Washington Senators franchise. The Texas Rangers also came from DC, but they were a crappy expansion team that started in DC after the original franchise left DC.)

Why are they tearing it down? Because back in 1978 (yes, 42 friggin years ago), he said he moved the team to Minneapolis because they don't have a lot of blacks and instead have a lot of "good hardworking white people." Sounds a lot like Hillary's comment about Obama supporters. I wonder if she got the idea for it from Griffith.

They are running out of stuff to knock over
Where will they turn next?
Perhaps they will eventually start destroying something SF Democrats care about? Like the piles of human feces and needles on the street?

You know that late in his career Robert Byrd turned from racism and moderated on civil rights? Senators who still favored racists politics... Strom Thurmond and Jesse Helms, turned Republicans. As the country had its paradigm shift to clearly understand that race did not make blacks inferior and that violence to support segregation was bad, some groups offered much more resistance. The Democratic Party of the south changed relatively quickly and the racist remnants mostly died or changed parties.

But that never seems to matter for conservatives/Republicans. Any past indiscretion is all that ever matters.

Certainly to non-Christians the ideas of redemption, restoration and forgiveness are are often beyond comprehension. The Democratic Party has no stranglehold on unChristian values, but it is certainly has plenty of agnostics, unbelievers and antiChristians.

No. Simple fact is that the Dems and media ignore the indiscretions of a Robert Byrd and continue to pound away at anything a Republican ever did. Ever.

Funny how libs will defend other cultures in other parts of the world because of the culture. Yet, the culture remains and it is okay.

The culture in the US, for the most part, early on, was to own slaves. However, unlike other countries, the US abolished it. Those who owned slaves, as far as I know, didn't say screw it, and continue to enslave people. So, why are they still vilified? It was just the culture...what most people did. No one now says it was right, but now they are all evil and no statue, etc., is safe.

Well the Republicans will forever keep reminding us that southern slaveholders and later KKK were Democrats. Ain't much in common between the Democrats now and 150-160 years ago, yet the extreme partisans among us keep putting out and repeating that ********.

They only do that to counter the relentless attacks on Republicans now as all being racist, etc. You are a smart guy and know that.

But, nice try.

It's a good question. If you figure out why Phil Elliott still ties Robert Byrd to activities he later denounced, I think you'll know the answer.

You realize that applies to all white people in America today and the slave owners of 150-160 years ago, Right?

Again, if any of us on here or elsewhere bring up that sort of thing, it is as a retort to constantly being told we are racist for being Trump supporters. That's it, and you know it. If you don't know it, that's on you, and we can't help you.

If I'd never read the Seven Habits of Highly Effective People maybe I would still believe that jerk behavior is an adequate justification jerk behavior. But I've experienced a paradigm shift and now feel that regardless of the stimulus, I can be true to my values when I respond.
