It's never to early to talk some (FOOTBALL).

This is how the picker sees it.

Seems reasonable.

Texas had the upperhand last year but injuries really did play a toll. Defense could not force turnovers and ultimately that was one of the big differences in the game last year. 1 Costly turnover when Texas was going to score the go ahead TD. That was the play of the game and ultimately goes down with the many other plays that stand out when Texas has lost to OU.

This year I think Texas wins. OU will again be porous on defense. Not as bad as last season but still porous. It will be up to GD to exploit their weaknesses and I think mixing in John Chiles will help do just that.

Texas has won 2 out of last 3 and I think this year they make it 3 of 4 and go on to win the Big 12.

What a fantastically wrtten first paragraph. Doggy college and HGH ball. Sounds like this guy does not have even basic cable in his mobile home. A very unbiased article. Make sure to enjoy this Tulsa reporter because he is surely to get picked up by the BBC or maybe the New York Times as soon as tomorrow.

His prediction, several months out, could very well come true. Nobody knows. Way too early to predict unless you have mental midgets that buy into this so early. I guess there is just not much going on in the world that is Tulsa readers.

Mindless flame bait. Don't bite, folks.

Since when has Greg Davis ever exploited OU's weaknesses? If you're putting all your eggs into that basket, you might as well give up now.

i don't think we have the horses this year. that really pisses me off. and i'm not just talking ou.
i hope somebody cuts and pastes this and makes me eat my words late in the season.

I clicked on that link expecting to see an actual article, not a blog from a pro-sooner homer. What in the world to I care what some guy in Tulsa thinks when he says that Mack Brown has done nothing to show he can win a big game? I keep forgetting that the times that he's beaten OU have been times when it wasn't REALLY a big game.

Loopy,

This is the kind of crap I have to put up with day in and day out as a Horn fan in Tulsa.

This is the impression you get listening to these ahem, sportscasters like "The nosepicker" and I know his real identity by the way.

1. OU invented football.

2. Texans don't know squat about the game and don't exist.

3. Mack is clueless but Stoops is a football gawd.

4. OU is the only team thats about winning championships.

All this after they get punked on four straight bowls in a row and have to have Texas show them how to beat USC???!!!

See you in October

If I'm not mistaken, the blog is written by an Okie State guy.

My guess is that he hates TX more than OU because - at least - they've beaten OU a couple of times over the past few seasons.

5. We wear our "Better Championship Football Thru Unabashed Shameless Cheating," badges proudly.

I see ou as the clear favorite this October, which will make Texas whipping their sorry, cheating, probabtion-ridden, BCS choking asses all the sweeter.

I hope Texas does well before the October game I would like to see OU-Texas undefeated going into the game. I however believe that Texas has a little more rebuilding to do before they will beat OU. Last year was close this year not so much.

I seem to recall GD exploiting OU's defense up and down the field last October. It's not his fault we didn't win. Blame the defense for giving up a long touchdown pass and Jamaal Charles for fumbling on the goalline.

I can't make any predictions or analysis until I see our defense play a few games in the fall. If we don't have significant improvement on the defensive side, I see a rough day in the Cotton Bowl for the Longhorns.
